Although this mixed rice stall does not have too many choices of dishes, but all of which look delicious. I ordered the curry vegetables, stir-fry broccoli, and sweet sour pork. The curry vegetable is my favourite. The cabbages, long beans, bean curd sheets etc are cooked till soft in texture, and absorbed full flavour of the not-so-spicy curry gravy, very nice to go with rice. The sweet sour pork on the other hand is slightly disappointed. The coated flour is a bit too thick, one could barely taste the meat well. continue reading

The mixed vegetable rice stall at yew tee mrt is really good. you have a lot of dishes to choose from and you will never get sick of their food. The dishes are very appealing and will make you spoilt for choice that is why I ended up ordering four dishes. When you happened to eat here, do make sure you order their sweet and sour pork. The pork cubes are deep fried till crispy, they only used lean meat and the sauce is really nice. I found their long bean with minced meat dish very unique, seldom see this combination of the dish, normally these dishes are cooked separately. However the flavours compliments each other, the saltiness of the minced meat along with the sweetness of the long bean. It was good. continue reading

Before we went over to our friend’s place, we decided to da bao dinner from the food court near yew tee mrt. I could not decide what to have so I bought myself the mixed veg rice. they had quite a lot of variety to choose from. I ordered three dishes. Their sweet and sour pork, the braised silken toufu and stir fried vegetable. The sweet and sour pork look really appetizing, it looked so glossy and glazed. The pork was deep fried, the meat was a little dry. The sauce outside was not too sweet, taste just right. The braised toufu was very smooth, the gravy was very tasty, went extremely well with the rice. the vegetable was cooked perfectly, very crunchy and perfectly seasoned, not too salty. continue reading

Grabbed a takeaway dinner of cai fan from this stall at Kopitiam in Choa Chu Kang. It was ordinary overall. Honestly, mixed vegetable rice are just edible food that will settle your lunch/dinner at a low cost, filling your tummy up. I chose 1 Veg and 1 Meat: stir-fried kangkong and minced pork. continue reading
