Went down Nex and saw this resturant at basement. Ordered a combo to try out. Place is quite warm due to glass panel at rear. Sitting arrange quite unique. Our food came about 10mins. First sight was impressive as plate is bigger than normal. The serving include Katsu with cheese topping , fried fish and tempura prawns. We option for chili type. The taste is tasteful with curry different from normal possibly Japanese style. It is not so warm but sweet taste base on my personally opinion. Not for those who like chilli hot type. Cannot finish up whole plate as already full my stomach as it also served with rice. Not really impressive overall but worst a try.

It was my first time visiting Monster Curry and I was a bit excited about it because it look so big and yummy! My friend and I ordered a chicken katsu curry and add-on prawn, extra-hot spiciness! When the bowl arrived, we was taken back because we didn't expect it to be such a big portion. The chicken and prawn is tender and fresh and it yummy with the special curry sauce and some rice ... In the end, we didn't managed to finish it but still had a good meal (:

Located next to Andersen Ice cream near the Japanese street at B1 of Nex.Look at those huge plates!! These are true to size!! My friend and I decided to try out this place, I'm a big fan of japanese curry rice and I was told the portions here were huge enough to feed 3! So I decided to give it a go.We decided to "Go Big or Go Home!" so the $25++ ($29) Combo Curry was the choice we made. Sorry for the horrible photo, the reflections from the ceiling lights covered the combo curry picture on the menu.Here's what the interior looks like, the tables are made for only 4 people, so I watched a group of 7 hungry teenage boys come in and they had to be split up, so take note, those dining in large parties, Monster Curry doesn't have long tables!So after ordering at the main entrance and seating down, it took like 5 minutes or so for the food to be served! We quite amazed at how the food rolled out so quickly, even for the 7 boys seated near us, they cook that fast. Sometimes when food is cooked so fast, I get quite worried about health and safety standards. But oh well! I also watched the grocery stocks come on, pretty much everything was already breaded, all they had to do was deep fry the fish which comes from vietnam.The combo curry was HUGE! LIKE literally, I'm not kidding when I saw it can feed 3 people.. for $29.. it's like $10/pax.. you are MEANT TO SHARE THIS!! unless you want to consume 5000 calories in one meal. The Fish was fresh and crispy, the tempura was fresh and crispy, the cheesy pork katsu was a bit tough, but still crispy, the strips of pork were delightfully tasty and NOT FATTY! We went with curry level 1, because I don't really take spicy and level 1 was perfect We enjoyed our lunch totally, and we weren't even able to finish the rice or the fish. It was a good meal! I would hope to be back to try more of their other curry dishes Bring friends!! DO NOT!!! I REPEAT! DO NOT ORDER ONE PLATE PER PAX.. SHARE!
