My first taste of MOS Burger Teriyaki Chicken started in 1996 when Mos Burger setup their outlet at Tampines Mall basement. Todate, the outlet is still there but relocated to a different site after the recent renovation. The current setup separates the counter from the kitchenette. MOS Burger, is a Japanese food chain with their own version of American burgers and the very first eatery to feature the Teriyaki Burger. From the menu, Teriyaki Chicken burger top the list. There are also fish and cheese burgers. Variety of rice burgers, hot dogs, side treats such as French fries, apple pie, deep fried prawns, nuggets and green salad. Soup treats of corn, clam chowder and mushroom. Not forgetting assortment of cold drinks. The Chicken meat well marinated with Teriyaki sauce. The taste is still the same after all these years. Chicken meat tender but not too soft. The marinated sauce of the chicken is just right and the small amount of sugar gives the yummy slightly sticky and sweetish glazed effect to the burger. The lettuces and tomato fillings provides a refreshing taste. The soft bread cushioned the overall ingredients and the final touch of mayonnaise dressing completes the overall combination.Priced: S$3.55 for this take-away.Have you ever wondered how MOS Burger got its name?M – stands for mountain (dignified and noble)O – stands for ocean (wide and vast)S – stands for sun (vibrant and life-giving)Kudos to the founder Mr. Sakurada who started his hamburger empire and the first establishment of MOS Burger shop in Tokyo in 1972.Yes, MOS makes my day. continue reading

The MOS cheeseburger from this outlet is smaller than another outlet I visited last time, it consisted of a piece of ground beef patty, a slice of thick tomato (thicker than the patty itself), a cheese slice and two toasted buns around a concoction of their delicious one and only chilli sauce. I could not really taste the beef patty due to the chilli sauce, but at least the sauce is satisfying and flavourful enough that I scooped up those extra sauce that dropped on the burger wrapper and apply it onto my burger. Their sauce has quite a rich onion taste with onion bits, very addictive. continue reading

Here at Mos burger has this really different burger from the other fast food outlets, which is their rice burger. Saw the name of this rice burger really special, so decided to give it a try. Took more than fifteen minutes for them to serve my burger to me. The portion is quite small. Although the japanese rice is quite fragrant and compact, I do not really enjoy the fillings in it, which include a mixture of fish meat, small prawns, sliced carrots. The taste does not blend in well and you may feel hungry after eating it. continue reading

Went there for dinner with friends. I ordered Chicken Burger. The Burgers, each nicely wrapped with soft and juicy fillings are simply irrisistable. The chicken was always juicy and tender. Due to healthy conscious, they always serve a lot of vegetables. However, the portion served was also quite small (especially the burgers. It look so small compared to other fast food burgers). The fries was crispy and thick. You can never find this type of fries at others place. continue reading

I'm definitely not sick of burgers at Mos Burger - I could even have them for both lunch and dinner! This time round, I stuck to my old time favorite - chicken. The teriyaki chicken rice burger seemed appealing so I decided to order that with my favourite iced milk tea & fries. Beside the fact that the marinating sauce tasted rather salty, everything tasted exactly like the best burgers in town! continue reading
