A well-hidden cafe above Thai Express, this beautiful cafe serves a wide array of exquisite desserts which makes it a great place to spend your afternoon away.I fell in love with the interior of Mu Parlour once we stepped in. Modern art pieces and whimsical furniture pieces complemented the white walls perfectly. I adore how Mu Parlour uses the minimalist approach for the cafe which makes it so elegant and attractive. This luscious dessert boasts a strong hint of mocha taste, making it a decadent treat for both chocolate and coffee lovers!Infused with a lemon core, the Formagae Blanc has a delicious blend of both sweet and sour flavours. I expected it to be a tart-based cake, but it turns out to have a spongy cake base. This was not my first choice, but surprisingly it was delectable with just the right touch of sweetness.Another view of this beautifully crafted dessert, the Formagae Blanc.Mu Parlour is a quiet and very cosy place. It is the perfect place to chill, read a book, and watch the world go by.  continue reading

So whilst walking around Holland Village, i decided to bring my friends to MU Parlour having heard many rave reviews about the place. It was a weekday afternoon and so there wasn't much people. They have several sofa chairs, and also some metal tables and chairs as well. There was a place for people to people-watch as well. I was hungry and so i ordered their breakfast food. Actually there wasn't much choices for me to choose from so i went for the breakfast food, which comes served with eggs benedict, sausage, bacon and salad. Which sounds like a very safe choice... not unless you like vinegar A LOT. There was a strong taste of vinegar amidst the eggs benedict with hollandaise sauce. Which i didn't fancy so i didn't finish it at all. I also wasn't too pleased with the service cause the staff forgot about the coffee my friend ordered and we had to remind them.On a brighter note, the place serves beautifully crafted desserts so while i may excuse myself from the main dishes, i may go for the desserts next time. continue reading

Located on the second level, right above Thai Express. Mu Parlour is all about the all day brunch, gourmet cheese burgers, coffee/tea and desserts. The café's concept brings forth an arty-farty feel with a blend of modern classic to its furniture. Love the ambience! Food wise was an average and I have to admit the waiting time for food to arrive is slow, even though my friends and I were the only ones dinning there.Read more on: http://nkikichua.blogspot.sg/2014/05/mu-parlour-holland-village-singapore.html continue reading

Located a the heart of Holland Village lives a quiet and exceptionally non-crowded cafe, not because the food or desserts ain't good but somehow people just miss it. Passion fruit cheese cake ($7) and cafe latte ($4.50) for myself. The passion fruit taste actually complements really well with the cheese cake, not too sour and very delectable while the cafe latte was very mediocre. I tried my friend's Duo chocolate mousse brownie ($7) as well, the different layers of chocolate were so delicious. Just one mouth of that and you can taste the two distinct different of chocolates! If you love to have afternoon tea or to catch up with your fellow girlfriends, this chic and quiet cafeteria will definitely have met up with your expectation. I love how all the furniture and chairs are all mis-matched but somehow giving the whimsical and quirky vibe. The only con is that they do not have a wide selection of food, purely just burgers as mains, cakes, coffee and tea. continue reading

My friends & I were looking for a place to have desserts after our dinner! MU Parlour is located at the 2nd storey on a row of shophouses. As we walk up the stairs, we were greeted by this pretty looking door. MU Parlour serves freshly baked pastries, gourmet burgers and cocktails. A row of cakes were seen on the display counter and we took quite awhile to decide on which cakes to get. Settled on the Carrot Cake and Salted Caramel Tart. The carrot cake feels light and tender and the layers of cream cheese makes it so addictive I can eat the whole slice myself, one of the better carrot cakes I have tasted so far! I was excited to try the salted caramel tart as it had a layer of Valrhona dark chocolate ganache! I love the combination of caramel and dark chocolate but the chocolate in this tart was too overpowering that I couldn't really taste the caramel. Between the two, I prefer the carrot cake! We got window seats that overlook the streets of Holland Village, great for people watching! I love both the interior and exterior decor of this cafe, very chic, simple yet elegant at the same time. I would love to try our their gourmet burgers next time! continue reading
