I always wanted to try Indian version of Western Food and I went to this popular Roti Prata stall opposite Bukit Batok MRT. It was mid afternoon and inside the eatery was very warm and stuffy, despite they switch on air cooler. There was Mutton Steak and Mutton Chop on the menu board. The stall uncle told me that Mutton Chop was the one with french fries. The price was $6, similar to hawker centre's Western Food stall. The Mutton Chop was delivered to my table after about 15 minutes. The amount of french fries in this dish was alot, more than double the amount of mutton meat.  The mutton meat looked spicy with red chilli paste sauce. The mutton meat tasted quite bland, tough and dry without the spicy chili sauce. It seem like the mutton meat was from the Kambing soup, cut in cube form. The french fries was slightly over-fried, too crispy for mine liking. Overall, I still prefer the Mutton Chop from the hawker centres.Read More

The mouth-watering curry mutton attracted me, so I ordered the Malay food as shown in above picture because it is very tasty and extremely reasonable food with friendly staff too.Although I knew that this restaurant offer good murtabak or roti prata, I still prefer their curry mutton rice & potato and I'll not eat Tom Yam Soup during lunch time with my technician because it is not good to drink sour soup when you are hungry, which being taught by my parents during school days.Read More

Ever since my last visit here, I've been dying to come back to try out other dishes on their menu! This time I came to try out their Chicken Murtabak ($6)! Honestly, it's my first time trying Murtabak so I don't really have a benchmark to compare to. But overall it tasted really good with a chewy outer layer similar to egg prata and a generously filled delicious chicken bits inside. I enjoyed my visit a lot and service was prompt as well. For its huge portion and taste, it's worth all the price I paid.Read More

This halal coffee shop selling Indian and Thai Muslim food was introduced to me by my Indian food buddy as he works around Bukit Batok area. If I were to pass by the shop, I wouldn't have known that we can actually go upstairs to the 2nd level. It's a lovely hidden gem place with good air conditioning. The menu is pretty extensive considering it's a little coffee shop stall. I love how it's a picture menu as it's easy to help me to decide what to order. Since I've been craving for some good basmati rice recently, I've gotten myself the Chicken Nasi Biryani ($6). The biryani is nicely spiced and compliments well with the delicious curry gravy, which wasn't too spicy which is great. The chicken was also nicely marinated and cooked to tender wellness. Love the egg that comes with it too. I also got myself the Iced Milo Godzilla ($3.50) and this was awesome, it comes with 2 generous scoop of vanilla icecream with the consistency of milo is just right too. For a small coffeeshop stall, you may think the price is a little on the higher side, but don't forget about the portion, service and aircon they're offering! We get to order our food the restaurant style as the staff comes up to the 2nd level to take our orders and serve us our food. Would definitely return to try out their pratas next time round!Read More

I paid $8.30 for these 2 items and 2 drinks. The tissue prata costs $2.50. It was surprisingly filling but was extremely sweet. It was completely coated with sugar on the inside. For the sambal chicken, it was quite spicy and extremely oily. The gravy seemed to be made up of oil as I could see a thick layer of oil on the surface. The person who took our order had a black face throughout like we owed him money. He sounded rather irritable. The guy who served us the food was still alright. They should probably keep their attitude to customers in check otherwise they will end up losing potential customers.Read More

The teh ping (~$1.50) is a tad too sweet to my liking. The mee goreng (~$5) is quite spicy but still tolerable. The portion is quite large and is very filling. Perhaps 2 small eaters can share a plate of noodles. Their curry is not spicy which I wish it is.. The roti prata (~$1) is a little crisp at the edges and is best eaten when served hot and dipped into the curry. It is a good supper place to go especially if you live around that area.Read More

the chicken biryani is much better than the mutton one. the mutton one was too gamey and reeked of mutton musk. the chicken on tasted more "civilised" and was well balanced. it was pretty spicy and the rice was nice and separate. basmati rice is not sticky so they should be separate. the rice is nicely spiced. some cucumbers on the side to cool the palate. quick efficient service. about $6.50Read More

Mufiz is the most frequent muslim stall i've been going for the past few years. It's located at the heart of bukit batok central, just beside the mrt station. I like their food there and the staffs there are also very friendly and cheerful. However sometimes the food they serve kinda depends on their mood. I always order roti prata at Mufiz, sometimes it tasted so crispy and good. But sometimes, the roti prata tasted not as well. However overall, it's still quite nice. Other than that, their chicken murtabak is real good! Also, their nasi briyani.... the taste is wonderful however portion is quite big. And it's affordable, $4.50. Their milo there is nice too, it's thick and full with flavour. If you haven't been there before, you can give it a try! It has 2 storey, the 2nd floor is air-conditioned.Read More
