I visited little India few weeks back & stopped at my favourite restaurant ' Namaste India', I thought of having a light dinner there, so I took a seat outside & flipped through the menu & finally ordered for a puri Bhaji. Puri is a deep fried prata & Bhaji is a potato & peas curry. I had asked for it not to be made to spicy. It was served hot & was medium spicy. It has 50% ease & 50% potatoes. The curry is coconut based. The combination of Puri & bhaji is great & a must try at Namsate India. Th

We have been to Namaste India a couple of times before & visited again since we love the veg food at Namaste India. We went there pretty late in the evening at around 10:30PM, hence very few people were dining there. I ordered for a fresh lime soda (sweet & Salty). Finally I ordered for Vanilla ice cream with a Gulab jamun. Gulab Jamun is a deep fried flour ball, soaked in sugar syrup. The combination of vanilla ice cream & Gulab Jamun was simply awesome. The food at Namaste India, though Veg is really tasty & I would recommend this restaurant in case you would like to try out some Indian veg food. I loved the light veg meal that night.

I recently went to Little India for shopping & stopped by Namaste India for a refreshing drink at their juice counter on the outside of the Restaurant. They have a couple of juices. I saw the rose milk in the juicers, so decided to try one out. It costs about 1.5 $ only. It was served chilled. It was rightly sweet & is a perfect drink to beat the summers. The rose flavour also adds to the freshness of the drink.

My Wife & I went to Namaste India for a veg dinner, since we have been there before. We quickly ordered for a Veg Korma & some aloo parata which is a potato stuff prata. The Veg Kofta was great, it was a thick creamy gravy made with cream & cashew nut paste, it was rich. It had veggies like green peas, potato, carrot, cauli flower & french beans. It wasn't too spicy. It went perfectly with the aloo (potato) Prata. We enjoyed our veg meal at Namaste India.

Walking by Namaste India in Farrer Park, spotted the restaurant's little Kiosk that sells chaats juices etc. Noticed someone having a blue colour drink and as it looked fascinating and as we were thirsty decided to try it out. The name is Blue berry drink and probably made of non-alcoholic curacao diluted with water and soda. It is sweet drink, however doesn't have any flavor of blue berry. Great to look at but the taste could surely be improved upon. Surely a thirst quencher though.

So we got ready and set off enjoying our MRT ride to Farrer Park. We shopped for groceries and other items and then by the time we finished it was past 8.00pm. So we decided to walk to Namastaey India for some Thali meal since we were really very hungry. When we arrived we were shown our tables and then the waiter gave us the Menu card to select our food. We looked through the whole menu and then we selected 3 thali's. Hubby chose the Punjabi Set Thali, while our son said he wanted to try the Namaste India Set Thali and I chose the Jain Thali for myself. For drinks we ordered Strawberry Lassi and Mango Lassi. Our thali's were brought to us in a very short ttime and we began to enjoy our food. The dals and the naans were yummy and very delicoius and so were the Paneer dish. Each Thali had a unique preparation of Daals, Panner, Raita and vegetable along with some papad and pickle. We really enjoyed our meal and then sipped our lassi. We liked the Mango Lassi more than the Starwberry lassi.
I would surely recommend Namastaey India to my friends who love Thali meals since their food is yummy and delicious.

It had a mix of north Indian & south Indian dishes. There was a variety to choose from, but since we were not in the mood to have a heavy meal,we ordered for Hara bhara kababs, Namaste Chaat & a tomato soup. The soup was excellent. The Hara bhara kababs too were very tasty, they were more like veg cutlets and were served with chutney. The Namaste chaat was the best, it was filled with curd, sev, puris, potatoes, Chutney, mild spices etc & was simply tasty that I wpied off the entire plate :-). The food prices are every reasonable & the food is simply great. I would definately suggest Namaste India, when you are sick and tired of eating meats :-)

This morning we were at City Square Mall and then proceeded to Mustafa Shopping Center for some quick grocery shopping. After we were done shopping we decided to have lunch and since we were having a lot of Non-Veg lately we decided on Pure Vegetarian Lunch. We decided to try Namaste India since it was recommended by a close friend.

We arrived at the Restaurant at 1.00 and we were taken to our table and seated. We then requested for a baby chair which was readily granted. Once we were comfortably seated we were handed a menu and we got busy selecting our dishes. They surely have a wide variety of veg dishes and we narrowed our search and soon decided on what we would be having. I selected my all time favorite Chat of Pani Puri and Sev Puri while the kids decided on Paper Dosa and hubby chose Veg Set Meal. And for drinks we selected Mango Lassi (we all love it). Our lunch arrived in a short while and we soon indulged in enjoying our meal. The Sev Puri and Pani Puri surely reminded me of the Chat streets of Mumbai. The Set meal consisted of quite a number of dishes and a sweet dish of Gulab Jamun. The Mango Lassi was the best, very creamy and delicous.

We really enjoyed a lovely Veg Meal at Namaste India and the food was no doubt very good.

I received a couple of dining vouchers from a friend for my birthday, one of them was for Namaste India. I have heard about this restaurant but it was my very first experience dining here. I called a day in advance to make reservations for lunch; as it was stated on the vouchers. I expected the place to be packed; being a public holiday (chinese new year). However, it was empty! the restaurant was also pretty small; probably the size of a master bed room or slightly bigger.

The waiters were really friendly though and showed us to our table. Interior wise, was pretty acceptable as there were warm fluorescent lights. My vouchers entitled us for set lunches which included rice/biryani and aloo gobi or a mushroom dish. My friends and I decided to get a different main/side each so as to be able to have a go at everything

My biryani was served piping hot. However, I found it to be really dry. Also, it was supposed to be dum biryani but tasted more like rice with a lot of spices ): 3/5

The mushroom dish was soaked in gravy and was actually more yummy then it looked! From my experience with cooking, I always found it hard to give mushrooms just the right amount of flavoring 4/5

The Aloo Gobi (potatoes & cauliflower) was definitely my favorite dish of the meal. It came with alot of gravy (slightly salty; tastes almost like soya sauce! lol); which I preferred compared to the extremely dried version served at other restaurants. The cauliflower was well cooked and the sauce complimented the dish! 4/5

We wanted to have Gulub Jamun with ice cream for dessert. Yes you heard me right! We got really excited when we saw it listed on the menu! Unfortunately, the waiter explained that their ice cream was melted :/ no idea how that's possible seeing that we arrived for lunch at 3pm, was after the restaurant was opened. Slightly disappointed about that but may return to try that dessert as I've never seen it anywhere else!

The food here was pretty mild hence people who can't take spicy food would appreciate eating here!
