Haven't had a Nando's in 5 years since I left the UK and this was surely a lovely way to reunite my taste buds with Nando's Chicken! The Bugis junction branch has friendly staff and the environment is nice and clean. The restaurant was really busy when we got there, we waited about 15-20mins before we could get our table. We ordered a Lemon and Herb chicken wrap with potato wedges and coleslaw and 5 mango and lime wings with coleslaw and peri peri chips and a perinase on the side. The wrap was by far one of the best I've had, the amount of sauce was just right, not too moist and not too dry. The wings were a little over cooked, but still tasted great. We enjoyed our meal very much here and would definitely come back when we next visit Singapore   continue reading

The chicken here has different degree of spiciness, and oh ya, we are not spicy eater, so we decided to be "coward" and ordered Lemon & Herb. 1/4 Chicken + 2 side dish ~ $13.90I believe in tasting food at it's most natural form, with minimum seasoning possible. Coz then we can really taste the skills of a good chef. If we need chili for everything, then everything will merely taste the same mah. But I dun deny that some spice will help to heighten the taste of food. Most importantly, you must enjoy the food according to your preference, whether it's spicy or not.The chicken was a tad dry, not as tender as expected. Side dishes wise, okay but as an advice, maybe it's not a brilliant idea to order 2 potato sides, reason being too filling la! Cataplana ~ $18This dish was like tomato rice with stir fried vegetables and chicken. The chicken here tasted better but was not given a lot, buried by all those vegetables (garlic, capsicum, carrot etc) which we dun really eat. Overall, food was okay although there was no wow factor to really draw me back. It will be just another restaurant that I will probably patronize if I need food. So much about the hoo-ha when it just started. Oh well, I suppose I'm not easily impressed. =p continue reading

The FoodI ordered 1/4 chicken set, "Super Peri" and there are 3 levels hot Peri Peri chicken mild, hot, extra hot.The 1/4 chicken looked big enough drenched with nice sauce, slight tangy sourness, with some spices. The grilled chicken was quite dry but meat still tender. The set meal come with 2 side dish portion of fries and coleslaw but portion looked small. The fries were crispy and nice and the coleslaw was quite average. The PriceReasonably priced at $13.90 per setOverallI will definitely come back again and highly recommended to try this! continue reading

Since its introduction to Singapore, Nando's has made its mark on the local dining scene offering Portuguese-style chicken prepared in a myriad of ways, accompanied by the brand's signature Peri Peri sauce. Also known in Swahili as Bird's Eye Chili, Peri Peri sauce is available with different spice levels for individual palettes. While I have the penchant for some spices to really give that kick in my food, I opted for mildly spicy just to avoid sweating bullets during a meal.I ordered the quarter chicken meal with came with 2 side dishes of my choice - garlic bread and potato wedges. The chicken was the star of the plate, gorgeously flamed-grilled with grill lines seared beautifully onto the skin. The drumstick was also beautifully seasoned and the meat still moist and succulent. For the sides, I would also like to give special mention to the garlic bread. The dish by itself is pretty standard, but the ones at Nando's were just better toasted in particular, crispy and really working it with the irresistible aroma of garlic. continue reading

It's the most wonderful time of the year once again. Went there with my girlfriends for our Christmas dinner, and was seriously impressed by the effort of having a pleasant atmosphere and excellent service. The food is mainly chicken. But whatever, it was good, well cooked, with interesting per-peri sauces you can choose from. It's Christmas so we ordered their Jumbo Platter. Served with two large whole Peri-Peri Chickens, and 5 regular sides. We picked their Potato Wedges and Mediterranean rice. Since not all my friends love spicy food like I do, we just ordered the mild sauce. I just added the spicyness with their range of Peri-Peri sauces. From Medium, to Garlic, Hot and Extra Hot Sauces. It was a very cheerful, and fun place to dine in. Ideal for special occasion and get-togethers. I would say that this is indeed a perfect place to get delicious and mouth watering Portuguese dishes. continue reading
