This is quite a popular stall at beo crescent market, as there is always a long queue during peak hour. their fish ball noodles is quite cheap too, only $2.50. their fish ball is bouncy and fresh. I would always ask for more tomato sauce. he cooked the noodles just nice, with the right texture. strong recommended fish ball noodles. they also have teochew dumpling, that always seems to sold out.. shall try it nxt time.

I come here almost every Sunday for breakfast. The noodles are really cheap and the portions are huge and generous. The bowl pictured here is the $3 bowl where the noodles and the ingredients are served separately. I order Mee Kia (non-spicy) and sometimes with more ketchup and vinegar, but how the old man mixes it, it's perfect. There's always a line there but the food is cooked with lots of love and passion-- super hearty and fulfilling for the stomach. His family has to wake up in the early 2a

His family has to wake up in the early 2am-3am every morning to start preparing the ingredients so that they can start serving at 6am.

I'm not a huge fan of fishballs, so nowadays I request for minced pork only, and they are generous with their meat and noodles as I'm not even hungry when it comes to lunch time. Their soup is boiled from scratch and you can actually see the carrots and corn that are used to help boil the broth. I head there almost every weekend to support the stall owner's family's passion

There is another stall at Beo Crescent food centre that seems to be quite popular judging from the queue. The stall only operates from 6am to 1pm and close on every Thursday and Friday except for public holidays. Written on the signboard - "since 1961". No wonder I can taste tradition in the fish ball noodle with a generous serving of fish cakes and fish balls. The fish ball was fresh and bouncy too.

One of the longest queue spotted in this food centre. This stall was recently featured in the TV programme for serving one of the cheapest fishball noodle for only $2.00. I can sensed his passion when he talked about those good old days. Passion can be the only secret recipe to determine a good from the bad in cooking. I was eager to try his noodle so i decided to order the $3.00 portion. There are the $2.00 and the $2.50 available for selection too. For $3.00, it came along with a big bowl of soup with fish balls, meat ball and slices of fish cake.

With 51 years of experience in cooking the noodle, the uncle cooked a mean bowl of mee pok that left an impression. The mee pok was cooked to al dente. When tossed it well with the specially made chilli and eaten with the generous amount of fried pork lards, it tasted so heavenly. This particular bowl of mee pok gotten me to fall in love with it almost instantly. The taste was undeniably enhanced by the nicely fried pork lards. You might want to put aside of being too health conscious and just enjoy such a sinful bowl of noodle whole heartedly, for once.

I will definitely return for a chat with that friendly Uncle and a good bowl of Mee pok soon.
