Address:400 Kallang-Paya Lebar WayMacpherson Community Club Level 1(S) 379131Nearest MRT Station:Macpherson MRT Station What they are famous for:Various selection of rainbow Cakes, Breakfast, MainsOpening hours:Mondays to Sundays: 11am - 11pmClosed every 1st Tuesday of the month.Atmosphere: 7/10Price: 7/10Food: 7/10Service: 7/10 Indoor Seating Outdoor Seating Food Menu Drinks MenuWe had: Vanilla Pops (With Chocolate Cookies) - $5.50The Vanilla scent was really strong but just waaaay too sweet! Poppy Pop - $6.50(Chocolate, chocolate cookie, milk)This was slightly better than the first, I guess chocolate fans would love this! Truffle Fries - $9.90(Topped with garlic truffle, truffle oil, parmesan)The truffles fries looked really underwhelming and tasted almost the same way. It had a decent amount of basil and truffle oil sprinkled on but I felt that the fries were a little too soggy! Beer Battered Fish & Chips - $14.90(Pacific dory, fries) The Pacific dory was fresh and I loved the batter that they used! Just a pity that the beer battered taste was not as significant! It's quite a pity that the mains at NOM were not as delish as their rainbow cakes. The Ultimate NOM Burger - $14.90(NOM Minced beef patty with caramelized onions, sliced tomato, cheddar, bacon, fried egg, fries)The minced beef patty I had was waaaaay overdone and the bread was a little stale. I felt that it was quite a disappointment, considering how they had so much potential in this dish as the marination of the beef patty was good. Oreo Rainbow Cake - $8.90Probably their only redemption point I guess! I have had rainbow cakes before, and I have always concluded that they were just coloring, flour and had nothing special to them (Still half true). The ones at NOM took rainbow cakes to a whole new level. The cake batter was moist and dense, and I loved the oreo cream filling! They even serve Speculoos Cookie Butter Rainbow Cakes (!!!!!)Service:The food was served to us really quickly!Atmosphere:NOM is located at Macpherson CC and so it was really prominent and accessible. The cafe was brightly lit and also had the miniature iconic dragon playground located indoors which was really cute. Their cafe seating mostly accommodates groups of 4, but also has outdoor seats if you wish to enjoy your food out in the open!Toodles!NOM is located at Macpherson CC and so it was really prominent and accessible. I called in to make a reservation for 5 which we ended up being a party of 8 with a child. NOM's interior is set up with several square tables so they can be very flexible with any party size. A great plus point over fixed sized booths, which only accomodate so many people. This is the entrance of NOM at MacPherson Community Club on a tuesday night 8pm. I parked across the street, at the HDB car park and there was a summon aunty walking around checking coupons, so do take note!Cheese and tomato pizza was okay, nothing fancy. Big enough to share. For the kids meal, we got pasta and the gravy tasted fine, except for the pasta penne itself, it was abit hard. This chicken leg was done pretty decently and the meat pretty much fell off the bone and you wouldn't need a knife to eat this cleanly. So thumbs up for this.I liked it better when they served full portobellos. For $9.90, this is literally one or at most two portobello mushroom caps sliced up, breaded and fried. Totally a rip off.Everyone loved the ribs, even though I found it a bit too hard, there was only one bone in there though. So tons of meat for sharing.Being that this is my second time, I figured I knew what I wanted. But I was so wrong, the quality has dropped. I am not sure if I would be back for the rosti. Refer to my previous review in SEPT/OCT and see the pictures of the Rosti, it looks so different. I even feedbacked to the young waitress whom politely asked if I wanted the Rosti recooked, but I said, forget it, my friends had already dug into it. But even my friend who came in JB, mentioned that Marches' Rosti is so much better and even cheaper than this. So, the newest addition to NOM is their rainbow cheesecakes which I did not see in September. It is quite solid, so I know for sure there's at least 2 blocks of phildephia cream cheese in there or more. It can be quite gerlat, so do share it, so just eat it and run 10km at the gym the next day.I had tried their chocolate and oreo rainbow cakes before and this was my first time trying their salted caramel cake. Everyone really liked the salted caramel rainbow cake And some of my friends mentioned that they would be back to try other cakes, definitely not the Rosti though. At $8.90 a slice, rainbow cakes here aren't cheap but they're at least decent. The Rainbow cakes were priced at $7.90 a slice just 2 months ago.. >_<I'm glad that NOM is sensible enough to price this rainbow cheesecake at $7.90, one dollar less than the rainbow cake itself. Being that I do bake cakes, I also know well that a rainbow cheesecake takes ALOT less time to make than a normal rainbow buttercream/sponge cake. The best upside to NOM is that it is nett priced, but I believe their prices seem to be going up some dumb reason.  continue reading

Bought two pieces of different flavour for grams to try.And I must say the chocolate version is a huge let down. It doesnt taste any bit spectacular, in fact mediocre at best.It didn't bring out the sweetness from the sponge cake and it lacks that fragrance from the caramel and white cream - salted caramel version. In fact I think choc didn't make the sponge stand out, sponge taste normal, a little dense.Overall caramel clear winner continue reading

Food here are nice and delicious. Especially their rainbow cakes. Their rainbow cakes cost $7.90 per slice. Rainbow cake tastes yummy and sweet. Not too much sugar. Fish N Chips is really nice, cost $12.90. THe fish & Chips is really nice and matching it with the salad for appetiter, it is a thumbs up. The breakfast rosti is not bad too, cost $14.90. The sausage is juicy and tastes nice. Decoration is not bad. They have the dragon head slide which only the kids from 90s and older will know. Service is fast too. Total spent: $42.70 Think it's worth it to be dining in here. Definitely will be back if have chance. Really like the food here. continue reading
