Smoked Brisket Sandwich (S$15++)
Polka Bread, House Smoked Brisket, Chipotle Aioli, Onion Jam, and Gherkin
Almost didn't order the sandwich as I thought that the bread would be rather hard. Turned it was alright with crusty powdery crust and chewy soft inside. The sandwich filling was tangy with hints of spicy.

Lavender Honey Roll (S$7++)
Lime Fromage Blanc, Roasted Pineapple, Yogurt Sorbet
It looked like a slice of swiss roll, served with a scoop of ice cream with some crumbles. The roasted pineapple tasted strongly of alcohol, which peaked up the plain icy roll. The sorbet tasted more ice cream with its milky texture.

Homemade Ginger Beer (S$4++)
The drink was served with a wedge of lime, and tasted refreshing.

Do take note the restaurant will be closing at the end of this year.

The cod fish is fresh and pan fried to perfection, not over cook and the skin of the fish is pan fried till very crispy which is what i like. The chef also compliment the fish with watercress sauce which is quite refreshing. There are also mesh potatoes underneath the fish which is what I love, I love to eat fish with mash potatoes, and the mash is not instant, it is truly mashed potatoes.

The duck confit crepe was super delicious, the sauce went very well with the whole crepe. I was a little disappointed in the crabcake benedict as it is one of their signature dish. There was a clash of flavours nonethless but I just didn't really like it. The desserts were also very nice the sticky date cake was appropriately sweet and the cheesecake was quite special too.

I recommend people who love to brunch to try out Nosh!

I had smoked salmon benedict egg which cost SGD $18. The portion is normal, taste wise is pretty average too. was expecting the salmon to be more tasty. But it isn't awful too.

My boyfriend had seafood aglio olio which cost SGD $22. I have try a few bites of it and it taste good. the prawns are huge and fresh. however, i will find that is a bit pricey.

Overall, i will return again in future mainly for the ambience

Nestled in what almost resembles a giant treehouse in Rochester Park is Nosh. there are actually many food places popping up there! and with the circle line, that area is now so much more accessible

started off the meal with this lovely starter which they called fried italian flatbread i’m not wrong. it was sooooooo delicious! if you’ve ever eaten those pizza biscuits that they sell in grocery stores, this is the bread-version of it!
deliciously seasoned with various herbs, it had a crispy exterior, and a dense chewy interior that was absolutely lovely.

we ordered some appetizers to share – the seared scallops ($18) was a beautifully harmonized dish. the soft tender scallops melted in my mouth, and they were contrasted with the woody, slightly sweet flavour of crunchy candied walnuts. and this had to be the most yummy spinach i’ve ever eaten!!!! super melt-in-your-mouth soft, and so flavourful.

the mango avocado creviche ($18) was very interesting to eat! following the instructions of the waitress, we each took a piece of the tortilla chips (crunchy and nicely seasoned!) and plopped a serving of the black cod, heirloom tomatoes, fresh chili, avocado and mango onto it, and into our mouths it went. nice combination of flavours

and i really loved my drink!!!!
this has to be one of the nicest drinks i’ve ever ordered. usually i’d get a little sick of the alcohol taste after awhile, but my Stay cocktail ($15) made of kaffir lime, yuzu and vodka had the most refreshing taste that i loved it so much and i could have more more more
the sweet-sour flavour of the yuzu was just awesome

i ordered the braised veal cheek ($25) which came with saffron risotto and was flavoured with various herbs like garlic, cinnamon and clove. this was SO tender that the meat just fell away easily when prodded with a fork, and simply melted in my mouth. a dish rich in flavour, the risotto was creamy and smooth, and added even more body to the meat.

i loved how the kurobuta pork belly ($25) was fried so beautifully, without any hint of any oiliness. it came topped with apple chutney, and very interesting sides – sweet potato mash and sweet potato chips. the chips were thinly sliced, and held a touch of sweetness, distinguishing it from your ordinary potato chips. the sweet potato mash was equally wonderful, very light and easy to eat.

the sambal snapper ($25) was one punchy dish! it was really quite spicy haha. i have to say that i was pretty surprised a western restaurant could do this asian dish so well. the tamarind rice that came with it was nicely flavoured with a variety of spices and tasted delicious!

the braised lamb shank ($29) was not really my cup of tea, since i dont like lamb. but the gamey taste was relatively minimal! and the meat was super tender too.

Visited on a hot Saturdary afternoon for high tea. We ordered quinch, cakes, scone, muffin. The place is a great place but distrubed by mosquitoes bite. Suggest not to wear short pants. The food were great and great when it goes with refreshing lime drink. The service is fast and a great place to be away from city and stay in urban area in Rochester Park. I wonder if dinner will a great place too?

Nosh is nestled among the greenery in Rochester park. I was here for a wedding vegetarian lunch which was held mainly outdoors. There's a inner dining area with air-con but with only 5-6 tables inside. The feel was quite good for an alfresco setting. - Where the bridal couple can walk out from

Now moving on to the vegetarian buffet spread:

Mushroom soup - This tastes good & creamy with lots of wild mushroom taste, although there's a slight bitter aftertaste towards the end which I'm still fine with.

Asparagus Quiche with sun-dried tomatoes, rocket, cheddar cheese - A savory quiche with good-tasting fillings and nice pastry. One of the better dishes.

Apple, mango, celery dip with tortilla chips - The dip is quite refreshing & sweet with the fruits & the crunchy celery bits. Unfortunately, the tortilla chips were limp - perhaps prepared too early, something a bit unavoidable for buffet spreads.

Ricotta & smoked tomato crepes with truffle beurre blanc - I rather liked this dish as well, as I liked the mild-tasting filling within the crepe. But eaten together with the sauce (I cannot place any special taste to it), the crepe became limp.

- Some of the dishes on my platter

Pongal rice with green lentils, chili, curry leaves & tamarind - Rice was hard, and not much of a taste to it even though the description indicates otherwise. Did not like this at all.

- Pongal Rice

Pasta with endives, heirloom tomatoes, artichoke hearts - Once again, another main carbo dish that is not good. The pasta is cooked till al dente but then there's hardly any taste to it also. Looks good but does not taste good at all.

- Pasta

Mushroom Loaf with wild mushrooms, carrots, peas, smoked cheddar - Not bad, although the slices of the mushroom loaf was a bit dense due to the numerous ingredients inside. Some of my other dining companions couldn't get used to the taste & texture.

A mixed salad (forgot to take down the name) consisting of asparagus, tomato slices, green & yellow squash. - I found this to be not bad as well. Similarly, my relatives were not used to this dish as well, some of them even avoided eating the bright yellow squash as it looked like lemon slices. I just told them it's like an "ang moh melon" haha.

The 2 desserts offered were nice. The toffee date cake was moist & sweetness was just right. The cheesecake was also good, rich with taste.

- Toffee date cake & cheesecake with strawberry sauce

Description of the dishes were like "wow" but then not all of them lived up to the expectations which was kinda a letdown. I'm quite adventurous with food so I'm rather accepting of these different takes on vegetarian food. Those expecting a more traditional wedding fare were quite surprised though.

Generally I liked the ambience of this place & some of the food offered. Granted, they were presented as part of a buffet spread so perhaps quality could be better. Might give this place another try for dinners with its ala clarte menu.

I haven't been for dinner since "Krish" became "Nosh", but the brunch menu hasn't changed. We had: - "Pancakes with cinnamon butter and cardamom-infused maple syrup": I was salivating just reading that description. - Croque madam: Perfectly runny sunny-side eggs on toast with ham and melter gruyere. Also came with a side salad and big portion of fries. If you order this ($14), you may not need to eat again that day! Only criticism: the toast was plain white bread and was quite dry.

Add 2 cappuccinos, and Nosh is a great place for Sunday brunch. I love the greenhouse patio among all the trees and plants! Free WiFi, too
