First up was the shellfish bisque which was full of seafood freshness and flavours but not to the extent of being overwhelming. I have tasted versions which tend to be a bit strong on the fishy taste so this should be quite acceptable to most people.

The lychee smoothie was good in the sense that it took away the heat felt due to the lack of aircon and wasn't too sweet.

As for the honey glazed chicken, there isn't a lot to say about it since I felt that it was just so-so. I couldn't taste which part of it was "honey glazed" and the chicken felt a bit dry so this wasn't very satisfactory in my opinion.

I ordered the Seafood Saffron Rice ($19) which was alright which came with one big prawn at the top. The seafood taste was powering and heavy but I felt portion wasn't that much. My friend ordered the Lobster Bisque Baked Rice ($14.50) which came with two half shell scallop. I tasted some and really like the cheesy taste. This however tasted lighter than the Seafood Saffron rice that I was having. I enjoyed my food there and this outlet at Wheelock is an open-air alfresco dinning. Although they have coolers but it can get really hot in the afternoon since I was having lunch there. It will be perfect in the night though. Will definitely be back again for its Muddy Mud Pie!

We were a little diet conscious so each of us took a salad each– Prawn Mayo and Caesar with Smoked salmon. We were pleasantly surprised by the portions, and I was very happy they were able to accomodate to my request for no cheese in my caesar. Taste was good, sauce was light enough but no eggs! Generous amount of croutons and the best must be the cheese basket it was served in. I swear to you it was hard to stop tearing up that cheese basket and eating it because it was so delightfully savoury and addictive! My friend too the prawn wasabi mayo but complained that there was no kick. Though prawns were fresh and generous, and i loved that they had tempeh in it!

We wanted a side to share but very sadly out of about 10 sides I think only 4 were available. We chose something without beef and ended up with Teriyaki chicken on potato skin. The dish was quite tasty but it should be eaten while its hot..

After eating here, I think this will be a place to consider whenever I see a Coffee Club around! We spent about $40, and there is a 15% discount on UOB or Citibank card holders!

I visited Coffee Club because I am missing the Muddy Mud Pie. Chocolate and coffee ice cream and that hard piece of cookie at the bottom. Just love how it all blend together and taste so rich and good. Since it was dinner time, we ordered some light bites. Mushroom sandwich and Mexican Quesadilla. Everything was so fresh and yummy. The portion was just right as well. Service was also friendly. Worth a visit!

Let's start with the pasta--it was excellent but it was such a heavy dish for dinner. The penne was cooked al dente and was enhanced by the lobster bisque. As for the fish, it was very tender and didn't have that store-bought taste. This time, the saltiness was done right with a hint of lemon to break the flavour. I originally wanted to have the mud pie for dessert, but after eating the whole serving, I was full.

Salmon On A Holiday! Yes, that's exactly what they call it. Not only does the name sound adorable, the plating of the dish was colourful with a mixture of various textures and flavours. The breakfast set costs $10.20 but if you would prefer another drink instead of the regular black coffee, you just need to add $1.30. I ordered a Caffe Latte which came with a 2-tone colour differentiation between the espresso coffee and the milk..

The smoked salmon was nothing short of awesome. And when paired with the slightly sweet scrambled eggs, sour tomatoes, and bitter wild rocket - it's like a taste explosion in your mouth! The mushrooms were done up quite nice too, although it was a little bit on the dry side. I particularly liked the chewy and crunchy bagel that it was served on, filled with sesame seeds on top.

Even though it was 7am in the morning, the staff who served me was very alert and attentive. They poured me a glass of water without being asked to and was also very prompt with my order. The restaurant is alfresco, so I probably would not eat here in the afternoons but it's definitely worth a second visit for breakfast again. Overall, I was super duper satisfied with my breakfast and it was an awesome start to the day for me!

My friends and I were looking for a place to have late night dessert, and there were only a few places open in Orchard. We decided to go to Coffee Club to have their Muddy Mud Pie. For only $12, you get a big slice ice cream cake. What I like about this is that it has different layers of chocolate. First, there's the crust, then dark and light chocolate ice cream. It doesn't stop there for there's chocolate sauce drizzled on it. It's really chocolate heaven for all those sweet tooths out there!

I had

1) Nutty Frenzy ($10.50) a majestic combination of caramel, nougat and macadamia nut ice-cream, with candied macadamias and richly satisfying dessert that's nutty and sweet. I've always liked Coffee Club's mudpies, they're generously portioned and extremely value-for-money.

2) Country Pie ($10.50) a yummylicious combination of marinated diced chicken, root vegetables and mashed potatoes, topped with golden molten mozzarella cheese. This is so good, it's a must-try
