The outlet is a takeaway outlet, selling tea and coffee based drink and mochi snacks. Friendly staffs - who advise on having the mochi while still hot, ask if one is having immediately, as well as, saying goodbye (which one seldom hears at takeaway counter these days).Tea Dessert Honey ($2.50)Tea Dessert Azuki ($2.50)The drinks reminds me of flavored milk tea.Freshly grilled mochi Hokkaido milk($2 each, $1 each with drink purchase)Freshly grilled mochi Nacho cheese($2 each, $1 each with drink purchase)The mochi is grilled using a waffle maker which gives it a waffle like look. The Hokkaido milk sauce tastes like condense milk, while the nacho cheese sauce is rich cheesy with a hint of spiciness. For free topping, take a selfie or follow them on Instagram. continue reading

Oki-Machi together with Hokkaido Teaspresso has opened at Seletar Mall on 1st August 2015. As it's still a rather new establishment they have still kinks to work out like not having the right sized takeway containers. They are having a promotion for their mochis at $1 a stick except for the bacon sticks which are $2.They have a wide variety of drinks and I find them reasonably priced. The staff are very friendly and helpful and will assist in recommending a drink. For example I was thinking of a topping for honey dezato and the cheerful staff recommended me to try their white pearls. There were 3 very enthusiastic staff at this kiosk whom were glad to exclaim "Arigatou Gozaimasu" after each customer had received their drinks.1. Honey Dezato $2.50It wasn't too sweet despite not picking a sugar level and it was very milky as well. The white pearls were alot chewier than typical pearls I've tried. It was also sweet and the fact that they didn't put too much ice into the cup made it very easy to reach the white pearls. I highly recommend trying their white pearl toppings.2. Azuki Dezato $2.50I had first thought that this was a matcha drink but as I drank it, it just tasted like milk tea with alot of red beans. It tasted like red bean with milk, the red beans were at the bottom and were just as easy to drink up with the provided straw. All in all, a different "bubble tea" experience that surprised me.  continue reading
