I totally love the setting of this place! It makes me feel like I'm in a little cosy restaurant hidden in an alley in Japan. The interior is mostly wooden, and the lights are dimmed. Behind my seat, there was a hook and hanger, for businessmen to remove and hang their suits so as to comfortably tuck into their meals, just like the Japan way. Most of the workers spoke in Japanese, which further added to the cultural experience. If you want some authentic Japanese dining experience, this is the place to go.Here's my lunchork RamenThe portion looks a little small because I ordered the kiddy-sized bowl (I was still too full from breakfast). If you're all game for a larger portion, go for the normal sized bowl.Condiments on the table. My friends and I tried out the chilli solution and it was extremely spicy! continue reading

Liang court one of my fav place for japanese food The staff here are mostly japanese, only 1-2 filipino I had the pork ribs ramen The soup base was quite salty, but very clear ,not oily Eggs was nice, but pork rib not very nice,it tasted like canned pork rib, don't really like it Also ordered a stick of chicken,The staff told us one stick is very big, enough for 2,but when we saw it we was quite shocked that it's so tiny, how to share for 2The chicken was not bad,but eat it with the salt will be too salty,so we didn't really touch the salt For service was ok,waiting time about 10mins,price average but food wise just so so continue reading

Our first visit here and already fell in love with the simple ambience and reminded us some of the small authetic eateries in Japan itself. Best of all, we spotted many Japanese dining here and the atmosphere were certainly different and didn't think we were in Singapore. We asked for recommendations and they showed us couple of the a la carte dishes and I went for the a ramen with pork base soup and came along with a bowl of seasonal rice and some small side dishes which were nice. I enjoyed it.We had the brown sugar crepe that were rolled up along a bowl of fresh cream, the dessert were ok only nothing fantastic. A cozy nice place to gather a small group of friends and eat simple japanese food. continue reading

I really enjoyed dinner at Okinawan Diner Nirai-Kanai located at Clarke Quay, Liang Court. The soup base is really good, as it is very fragrant and not salty. The noodles were tangy and the meat was fresh and tender. The portion was generous and sufficient to keep my stomach filling. It costs $15 for the bowl of ramen. continue reading
