I wondered if the old auntie who took my orders was having a bad morning as she was pulling a glum face. Fortunately, it was another auntie who was rolling the popiah, though each roll turned out smaller than expected. I doubt it was because I ordered "加辣" as the rolls weren't very spicy. Yet the medley of juices from the braised turnips, sweet sauce and chilli made them extra flavorful.
Although bits of soggy skin stuck to the plate, they were supple enough to hold the fillings, yet YIELDING moist and chewy bites. Gritty, juicy with tingling heat beneath the sweetness, each mouthful was a sensation.

Not a fan of popiah, but when someone offers you some.. well you be polite and chuck them in your mouth then.A colleague got this during lunch, apparently its one of the few popular popiah stalls. First impression, it looks like any other normal popiah. Looks pretty dry to me. Like there wasn't enough black sauce to it.The popiah is crunchy. It was really easy to chewy since the vegetables were fresh. Its wasnt bad for me, was actually suprisingly good. Will defintely order this again IF im arou

This healthy dish which contains mainly vegetables is very nice and filling. It is good for a takeaway meal to bring home for loved ones. However if you would like to eat there, it is also as good. It is served hot and fresh as the ingredients are specially cut infront of you when you buy. The service is really good and there isn't a really long queue so you don't have to wait very long. I would recommend this to anyone who wants a quick and filling meal.

Merely one dollar and twenty cents per roll, I can get to enjoy this delicious all time favourite snacks at a very affordable price. The popiah is very compact as it is filled with generous amount of beansprout, white turip, carrots, diced peanuts, spring onions, chinese sausages, sliced prawns and sliced omelette in it. The stall owner is very patient in making sure that every rolls of his popiahs are wrap nicely and not too wet in texture. The chilli here is really fragrant but very spicy t

The chilli here is really fragrant but very spicy too, which you may consider to add alittle bit to your popiah to enhance the taste.

My mother loves to eat popiah, sometimes she will even make our own popiah for dinner. Since she was craving for some nice popiah and we were in the vicinity of toa payoh, I drove her to old long house to for some delicious popiah. The popiah skin was very moist, it was very thin. I love their sweet sauce, it somehow adds more flavor to the turnip and carrots. The turnip and carrots were cooked till all their flavours are released. Somehow they still maintain their crunch which was quite surpris

My husband recommended me to this stall as it used to be one of the best popiah stall in Toa Payoh. The stall was run by an old man in the past but later I guess he has passed on to his children, as the old man is no longer seen at the stall.I think the popiah is not as fantastic as in the past. Although the ingredient is nice but not hot enough, moreover the popiah skin is too thick & dry as it takes a bit of time to chew before swallowing it. I think the popiah is not as fantastic as in the past. Although the ingredient is nice but not hot enough, moreover the popiah skin is too thick & dry as it takes a bit of time to chew before swallowing it. As you can see in the picture, the filling is too little & popiah is poorly wrapped. I don't mind paying slightly more if the filling is hot & wrapped fully.

Old Long House Popiah is a legendary one though might not be the best but it is definitely one of the better ones in Singapore. Popiah is one of the most economical and healthy choice for snack, and that is my absolute favourite. Skins are homemade at Old Long House, the ingredients are fresh and love the crunchiness from those crispy bits.
