Their specialty satay sauce is a bomb too. Unlike the other stalls, their sauce is not oily at all. Adding on to their already tasty sauce, they customized it by adding grind pineapple to spice it up. If you want more pineapple to your sauce, you can even go to the stall and DIY it yourself.

Each satay sticks and Ketupat cost $0.50 with a minimum order of 10 sticks. This stall is very popular among the other hawker stalls and waiting can be up to 30 minutes during peak hours. But for the sake of delicious food, I wouldn't mind waiting for my satay to be cook and served.

Love the satays from this outlet as the sticks of meats served are quite big in portion and the price is reasonable as well. Really love to eat their mutton satays as they are very fragrant with no stingy smell from the usual mutton meats served at other satay stalls. The meat is also very tender and juicy, which is really easy to chew too. The satay sauce here is also very thick and equally delicious as well.

I gotta agree with the reviews given on the quality of the satay. It has got good mixture of fat and lean meat to give it the tenderness for both the chicken and the pork. These satay were nicely marinated and well barbecued to give it the slightly charred taste and flavor. Pineapple puree was added into the peanut gravy to give it a hint of sweetness that complement the satay very well. I wish more slices of cucumber are given though.

It is good to see some of the old stalls are still dishing out the delectable local food at Alexandra Village Food Centre after their renovation. Although the young man handling the orders is brisk, I was grateful to him one day for noticing the order of the queue and for being fair. What happened was that when I reached first place in the queue and was waiting for him to take my order, a middle aged woman stepped in from the side and simply spoke out her order to the young man without bothering to check with me whether I was in the queue. The young man looked up, glanced at me, and told the woman curtly that I had come first. He then ignored her until he had taken orders from me and the other people in the queue. Kudos.

There was not much fats in this satay and the oil probably seeped out when they were grilling it cos when they served to us, it was not that oily. Their peanut sauce was really good, very thick and had this strong nutty taste. they added some pineapple puree like thing in it, it gave the sauce some acidity and sweetness. It coated the satay real well and enhance the taste of the meat.

This is a memorable dinning experience for me because this was our first time trying their satay out after reading the reviews on Openrice Singapore. There are quite a few media clippings on display, too. And so, we somewhat expected it to be good. We were there at about 3.30 pm on a weekday. We were given the option to choose in between the chicken, the pork and the mutton. Each stick is 0.50 cents. We decided to go for 10 sticks of chicken and another 10 sticks of pork together with a Ketupat

We were there at about 3.30 pm on a weekday. We were given the option to choose in between the chicken, the pork and the mutton. Each stick is 0.50 cents. We decided to go for 10 sticks of chicken and another 10 sticks of pork together with a Ketupat (rice cake). I requested to pack my order separately as i wanted to share them with my Grandpa. I was asked us to come back in a bit while they prepared it.

It was all packed and ready when i gotten back in 10 minutes. It was packed separately and put it in different plastic bag. Good job.

I gotta agree with the earlier reviews given about the quality of their satay. Every chunk of marinated meat was skewered through the wooden stick together with a piece of fat to ensure it has gotten enough oil to keep it from over burnt. Though both chicken and pork tasted good but if i have gotta make a choice then i would choose chicken over the pork. The texture of the pork was a little tougher as compared to the chicken. Both were well marinated and nicely barbecued to give it the charred surface but not over burnt and to retain its tenderness.

I wish the cucumber pieces were in bigger and chunky pieces rather than sliced into thin slices and it did not have the nice crunchiness that i liked.

The satay gravy was a little disappointing. It was a little diluted but have gotten the nice sweetness derived from the pineapple puree with a nice peanut fragrance. It might looked towards bright red in color but the spiciness is very much well-controlled.

This is a pretty good choice for satay though it is not the best to me.

Miss Nippon and me like the satay from this stall and moreover it's not far from where we live and we reckon it's the best in this area. I had reviewed this stall before but without posting any pictures and this time I thought I better do so. We simply love the 'fats' that were between the lean meat that offered a bursting sensation to the palate, we each had 5 sticks so still safe on the cholesterol, I hope.Another added point was the pineapple puree in the satay sauce, so old school and simply

Initially I asked him to order 10 sticks of chicken satay but he ordered 15 sticks which without notice we finished it! The satay is so tender, juicy and yummy! It is not overly BBQ and it is so fresh! The satay sauce too is quite special, they added the garlic to it. Their satay sauce is thick and with the garlic it just taste better.

This is one good satay stall that attracts long queue and may take quite a while for the order. As for me die die also will queue for it. The stall is filled with pictures that the owner took with some celebrities and reassure consumers that their satay is really good. As usual I will only order the pork satay, it's well marinated and the meat is tender and juicy. The gravy is with mashed pineapple inside and the peanuts are well grated and fine. Really nice.

I remember this stall best for its unique peanut sauce that goes with the satay. The peanut sauce is actually accompanied with some mashed pineapple to add some contrast in flavours in the peanut sauce. Not many, in fact it is very difficult to find another stall which does the sauce this way. I love how the sauce provides a nutty yet a slighty sourish sweet taste to the satay. It is really very good. I will always order the satays whenever I eat here.
