Ordered this Toast with Ice Cream at OldTown White Coffee and it was definitely not a disappointing one.The toast was very crispy and crunchy although there was a mild taste of bitterness from the slightly burnt toast. Also the smell of the burnt toast was pretty alright and acceptable. The ice cream was cold and creamy, it melted immediately in mouth, giving a cooling sensation. The environment of this restaurant was pretty good as the place was not too crowded. Furthermore, public can have free access to their Wi-Fi.

OldTown White Coffee never seems to be busy. Even during lunch hour. So if you wanna make an impromptu visit here, don't fret much about making any reservations, just walk in and you can get yourselves seats. I find that the cushioned seats are comfortable although they really look kind of worn out. Their floor staffs were attentive from the moment we walked in. I decided on the Nasi Lemak Combo, costing me about $10.90. The rice is not fragrant at all, needs more coconut milk if you ask me. The

I decided on the Nasi Lemak Combo, costing me about $10.90. The rice is not fragrant at all, needs more coconut milk if you ask me. The rice wasn't warm when served nor was the rendang chicken, pretty disappointing. The chili sauce is sweet-tasting and very addictive, enough to excite your taste buds. But the chili wasn't that great enough to balance off the entire dish.

i don't mind making another trip still. I'll just pick something else off their menu ;)

I didn't pay for the food hence I'm not sure about the price, but taste wise, Oldtown White Coffee cafe really impressed me well. My favourite has to be the minced chicken rice. I think the minced meat is marinated and cooked with fragrant oil, it smells so good, tastes even better! The tiny hint of spiciness definitely enhance the whole flavour by much. Very well done. The Ipoh lum mee on the other hand, is quite disappointing. The broth is quite bland, and the char siew (BBQ meat) has such a fake redish colour.

We also ordered the egg toast, which served with kaya paste. The toast are dipped in egg mixture and pan-fried with butter. It might be slightly too oily, yet it tastes so good that reminds me of childhood

Oh yah, add that to a table with comfortable seats (coz there were several types of seats, from cushioned seats to wooden stools), and tables that were still dusted with bread crumbs from previous diners.

Old Town White Coffee (S$2.20)

This was served thick and frothy. It was a bit too bitter. But that was easily rectified as more condensed milk could be added.

Kaya & Butter Toast (S$2.20 for 2 slices)

More disappointing was the state of the kaya and butter toast. They arrived cold. Merlion Wayfarer absolutely detests going to an airconditioned place, paying a premium for the food, and then be served COLD BREAD. Thankfully, they were crispy and thin enough for some crunch effect.

Once again, Merlion Wayfarer was disappointed by her experience. But usually a fix within Singapore is a lot less time consuming and effortless than the 3h queue at the Causeway to go to the Old Town at JB where there is prompter service and half-priced products (same price as Singapore, but in Malaysian Ringgit).

Price are expensive, as not worth getting hawker food in smaller serving size at this price. Bad service accompanied by below average food. Our order was somehow forgotten and after waiting for 30mins was forced to reorder. When the food finally arrived it was cool. the hokkien prawn mee is not that bad, but have had better malaysian food for the same price or cheaper.

I ordered the minced chicken noodles from old town white coffee. This dish is somewhat different from the minced chicken rice. for the noodles, they used those wanton noodles kind of mee kia. The mee kia is cooked perfectly, it is very springy. The portion of the minced chicken is much lesser for this dish. but somehow the minced chicken really goes well with the noodles. They also have a few stalks of vegetables. the vegetables is cooked well, very crunchy and juicy but a little tasteless.

I had mee siam. The soup is pretty spicy. There's a generous amount of ingredients in it. Crabmeat, vegerables, eggs and minced meat. The noodles are fine and delicious together with the soup. I like the spiciness level and it tasted just right for me. Service there was really great as well. Waiting time was short. All in all, it was a great experience with great food!

My first try on ice cream toast. The ice cream is vanilla, no choosing of flavours though. Nothing too fantastic to rave about. It's just normal ordinary ice cream sandwiched in between 2 slices of toast. The toast is nice and crunchy and ice cream is sweet which compliments the entire thing well. Service is great! Even though the staffs were pretty old, their service is really great!

i love old town white coffee’s minced chicken rice. the minced chicken is actually stir fried or marinated with chilli so it is pretty spicy. For those who cant really take spicy food, it is advisable to eat it together with the rice. the rice is not the normal white rice, it has the chicken rice fragrant, it is not too oily as well. The minced chicken is a little on the saltier side, so eating it with the chicken rice is best. They will top it off with a sunny side up egg. I love to mix the egg

Old Town signature wanton noodles!! It's the best i've had so far and it's also pretty pricey for such a dish. The noodles are just right and the char siew tasted perfect. Most important factor should be the sauce which brings the entire flavour out. The soup is really tasty as well and not forgetting the tiny little wantons. There are only 3 wantons which i find it too little! The dumpling texture is smooth and soft and the meat inside is fragrant and juicy! Thumbs up!

Had the toast for high tea, and well, the taste is alright. But the cleanliness is horrible! There were dirty water on the floor and the table wasn’t wiped properly. Although the food was alright, but I had a hard time enjoying myself due to the environment. Do NOT recommend.

I was doing some window shopping with a couple of friends when we got really hungry. We decided to head to old town white coffee for some food and drinks. I was flipping through the menu and could not resist ordering the Javanese noodles. It was so delicious. it looked so similar to that of mee rebus. The gravy is very sweetish. It is served with yellow noodles, my favourite! The ingredient portion is so so, not really a lot. but I like the way they cooked it!

I have tried old town white coffee back at malaysia where i really liked it. So i was craving for their ipoh chicken hor fun thus i decided to pay a visit to the outlet located at far east plaza. As i went during the weekday afternoon, it was relatively quiet and there wasn't much crowd around so we could sit and chat for hours there. I like how the chicken hor fun is so smooth and i quite like the soup that goes with it too. Service was not bad and we didnt have to wait long for our food also.

I ordered the Supreme Curry Noodles. It was super oily! My friend ordered the Supreme Lasi Lemak. This was not too bad. The fried chicken was crispy on the outside and their sambal ikan billies were really yummy.

However, there is one thing I needed to highlight. Their service was terrible! They are severely understaffed. We visited the restaurant at around 7pm and there were only one waitress serving the diners. My friend had to walk to the kitchen to place the order personally. When we wanted to pay the bill, we stood at the counter for a good 15 min before the cashier attended to us.
