Lunch with colleague SL at Old Town White Coffee at White Sands Shopping Mall. We wanted to try out Pepper Lunch but the queue was too long, probably some weekday lunch promotion.I ordered the Hainanese Chicken Chop Rice. Haha.. compared to my family's authentic Hainanese Chicken Chop, this one pales in comparison. However, the dish was still decent enough to make me want to come back for more.

A combination of oily and sweet together-what a guilty indulgence i thought to myself so early in the day!The kaya dipping that came along with it was sweet and creamy, the toast itself was fried with a little browness on the surface, just how I like them And a nice wake me caffeine filled iced coffee was the right partner for it.

I love this restaurant's nasi lemak, especially the sambal chilli that comes with it. I often order their breakfast nasi lemak set which is a smaller portion that includes a cup of coffee or tea.I went there a bit late today and it was past the breakfast hour, so I can only order their nasi lemak through ala carte menu.This set of nasi lemak that I ordered has a chicken thigh, a few pieces of crackers, cured squid pieces, ikan billis and cucumber slices. The rice that was cooked with coconut milk was fragrant and taste yummy with the sambal chilli. I asked for more sambal chilli to go along with my big plate of nasi lemak today.

In this stuffy sunny afternoon, the weather is extremely hot near to 34 degree C... I guess so. I feel very thirsty and tired that I urge to have a pleasant place to rest my feet. I order a glass of ice cream float. After a sip, my body feel good that not only cool me down immediately and the taste of the vanilla ice cream with mountain Dew is fantastic good. The peppermint leaves refreshing my mind and all of my tiredness is gone at once.

Here came to coffee tasting, my cup of white coffee was rich and smooth, it was a good cup of coffee to me. I have tried a mouth of ice coffee, it was fantastic, super rich in coffee taste, though it was rich it didn’t have bitter or sour tastes, the after taste linker for long. For such price, it worth every cent! As my friend uses to have Starbuck espresso, Old Town ice coffee could be the replacement with such a price.
