This is the first time I trying the dishes here. Having browsed through their not-so-extensive menu, I picked a pasta dish and a side for my dinner tonight.Seafood squid ink linguine $15.20++The linguine was cooked till al dente, is slightly springy in texture. There isn't much of ink taste in it plus the pasta sauce used was tomato sauce, so it tasted more like seafood marinara instead. The prawns was quite huge, plus generous serving of squid and clams which makes it quite a good dish.Onion rings $5.70++Huge huge rings of goodness. The batter was very thin and crispy and onion is sweet...nice!Read More

This was my 2nd visit to Olio Cafe and found out that they actually had a change in their menu. Abit disappointed to see that their crayfish pasta with sambal egg sauce was no longer available. Caesar Salad - The lettuce was fresh and crunchy. The only bad thing is that they are too generous with the sauce which makes the salad quite salty Seafood squid ink spaghetti - The spaghetti was made out of squid ink. The pasta sauce was quite nice but didnt really have the taste of squid ink.Still prefer their old menu.Read More

Had my new year brunch at Olio Cafe. Clayfish pasta with sambal egg sauce- It is a fusion dish i guess, which have the taste of which reminds me of chilli crab sauce.Pizza - Forgot whats the name. The Pizza is filled with Shrimp, Cuttlefish , egg. Quite NiceSeared Cod Fish with Yuzu Sauce and Olive Rice - The fish was slight grilled and was served with some greens and olive rice. The Yuzu really goes well with the fish.Read More

I've tried their munchy combo platter before thus decided to order their onion ring. It comes in huge sizes. Don't be shy and use your hands! The onion rings came along with a chilli sweet sauce. I prefer it to go with mayonaise instead thus requested for one. Dipped it into the mayonaise and eat it! The outer layer is really crispy and hot while the inside is soft and tasty. Absolutely heavenly!Read More

I had carbonara for the first time. There were lots of mushrooms in it. Ther entire dish was quite sourish and tasted weird. Wonder is it the problem with the mushroom or what. I find it a little weird to have shredded carrots at the top as garnishes. The bacon wasn't salty at all nor crispy. All in all, i find the entire dish was a failure. Service was great though and almost zero waiting time.Read More

Onion soup! I love it.. The smell and taste is not really strong at all. In fact, it tasted like some normal western soup. I love how it taste with a tinge of peppery taste in it. The onions are all cooked till really soft that you can break them apart by exerting pressure with your tongue. There's a small slice of garlic bread for you to dip into the soup as well. Yummy!Read More

I really am madly in love with the food here. Especially their today's specials which can be found written at the transparent glass to the chef's kitchen. I had their platter set which consist of a varieties of fried finger food. There are onion rings, chicken wings, wedges, nuggets and mini tako balls. There's mayonaise and chilli sauce to go along as well. I personally like their onion rings and chicken wings. After these, i'll order their ala carte ones in the near future!Read More

I was at Compass Point Shopping Mall the other day and decided to check out Olio Cafe. I tried the Thai Grilled Beef Salad and Mixed Grilled Lamb. The salad was fresh and refreshing with a light and refreshing dressing. The beef was not over cooked and it gave the salad some proteins. The Thai sauce was an interesting fusion of Asian flavours. The lamb had a different texture which was nicely cooked and tasted pretty good. Enjoyed the tenderness and the lamb was not gamey.Read More

At olio cafe, i ordered a mixture of meats. I had their steak and crayfish dish. The steak is nicely donw at medium rare and the crayfish is really juicy and fresh! There's mashed potato too! I love the taste of it. The sauce really compliment the dish well. Their vegetables are pretty much too. The portion is just right for me but it may be too huge for a girl. All in all, the food and service is great!Read More

This dish is definitely making me crave for more! Beef stew in a pot with a thick layer of mashed potato at the top. The sauce is thick and fragrant and the beef are all tender and easy to chew on. It may looked small but trust me, it is actually very filling after your last bite. It also comes with salad which is healthy and helps to neutralize the heavy texture of the sauce. Service wise is great too!Read More

wont say the food is super nice but i think is not too bad... the platter had quite a variety of snacks to share. they also have some unique combination of food that normal cafe doesnt sell like some herb sauce (cant remember the name but not the common spice) with cod fish. pizza and burger were not bad either. the portion is relatively big but price mayb alittle steep for a neighbourhood mallRead More
