This alluring fragrance that causes perhaps anyone who are in Sunshine Plaza to be hungry is located among the cluster where Victor's Kitchen, Parklane Zha Yun Tun Mee and Teng's Bespoke Japanese Vegetarian Dining is.Oven Marvel is mostly for take away orders, however if you are keen in dining on the spot they do have a table or 2 for you to sit and fix your instant cravings.Pies are freshly baked daily and in fact I was lucky to grab some which just came out of the oven. Each box was spread out with oil paper before placing the pastries into them.A homely taste of curry puff is what I'm taking away with. Most of the curry puff I had either taste mediocre or were too greasy too handle. The even tone of the puff and its dedicate crust was its highlights with good texture and wasn't too heavy.You won't feel shortchange for they are so generous with potatoes in the puff's fillings and best still the curry taste isn't weak!Eat while the pie is hot! The golden brown hue of the pie with flaking yummy curves had defeated me in terms of its food aesthetic, not mentioning the whiff of pastry aroma I had earlier on.Fillings are peppery, creamy with generous chunks of chicken as well as softened potatoes among the mixed vegetables. Pies are filling but it just did not stop me from wanting more. I like about the part where pastry were flaky and soft, yet not overly greasy.The middle age lady who served me was friendly and asked the arrangement of my pies and puff to be packed. Adding on to our conversation, she highlighted that if we can't finish the food on the same day, put in the fridge and thaw it for about 10 -15 minutes at room temperature before reheating them again. I hope to be back for their pastries as well as muffins.

My fellow giod friend has assisted me to buy a box of pies for me from this popular stall. The shop is neat with simple layout. Chicken pies and curry pies both selling at $3.80 each, which are quite expensive. The puff texture is thin and fluffy. The chicken pie filling is very moist and chicken meat is tender and juicy, with generous amount of mixed diced vegetables inside. Curry chicken is spicy and moist as well. The chilli spicies are flavourful and appetizing. Service from the shop boss is warm and friendly.

While I was shopping at Sunshine Plaza, my friend told me that there was a nice bakery here. Hence, I went in and bought some muffins and pies. There muffins and pies were not cheap though, the muffins at about $2 each and pies about $2-3 each.Out of those muffins, I liked the chocolate muffin, it was moist and very rich in chocolate taste with many real chocolate bites. The curry puff had many layers of fluffy slightly crispy skin. The potato fillings inside had a nice aroma of curry flavour and taste with right amount of spiciness.

Oven Marvel is located at the first floor of Sunshine Plaza and they sell only Chicken Pies, Curry Puffs and Muffins! I wanted to takeaway their chicken pie and muffins but the lady told me their muffins are only available next month. I was there around 2pm and they only had 1 chicken pie left! I was lucky to takeaway that only pie left as the aunty behind me wanted to get it as well. Instead of the typical pies that are made with shortcrust, Oven Marvel makes their pies with puff pastry. I ate the pie 2 hours later and it was not soggy at all! Look at the filling of the chicken pie! It is filled with generous portions of chicken and the combination of creamy chunks of chicken with sweet peas will leave you wanting for more! I will come back for more of their pies and also to try their curry puff and muffins! I heard they are equally delectable as well!

Their Double chocolate is honestly the best muffin I've ever tried. Priced at $2.80 for one, it's not exactly cheap nor is it expensive. But just look at the photo. The amount of chocolate chips on it is way too generous. Plus, you'll find melting chocolate inside the muffin as well as you bite into it! Best to be eaten while served hot, cos the outer crust is hard with warm inside. ^_^
