I heard its name before and this time was my first visit. A famous and high-class Halal restaurant, it was a mixture Asian cuisine food paradise. Menu was simple and straightforward, we got our food items list upon ordering. It was to make sure our orders was correct and avoid the unhappiness. Look at my attractive Chicken Thigh, it was so appetizing right? With a sunny side up on top of rice also the Sambal Chilli and Ikan Billis put aside, it called luxurious version of Nasi Lemak. $10.90 for my order, it was slightly expensive yet it was still worth to eat. continue reading

A place to enjoy yummy food and catch-up with long-time-no-see friends, PappaMia is a cafe full of young visitors and adults-alike! Best of all, their food is visually presentable, and its' aroma, fragrance, is something that you will keep in mind.Otak Otak, a huge slab of Otak that costs $3.90! Both spicy and deliciosu, it can be shared among... up to two people? I guess it's because I am a crazy fanatic over Otak, that's why I can gobble one whole myself. Do drink lots of water to get rid of the heatiness, I'd somehow wish the cafe sells Cooling Water because of its' highly heaty foods.Try this Turnip Chook Special Laksa! Highly recommended. This is one of the rare laksas where they've found an additional special ingredient to go along with it (The best from Hotel Re!, where they had seafood and abalone in the laksa). THe gravy/soup isn't too thick or watery, and the meat soaks up the taste of the laksa, making it sooo scrumptious! Cost only $7.90, really affordable for a short gathering continue reading

We were craving for some authentic Ipoh kuey teow the other day, and decided to dine in at PappaMia, which is a franchise kopitiam from Malaysia. We ordered the Ipoh Koay Teow Soup with Steamed Chicken ($7.9), it's amazingly comforting. The kuey teow very smooth with good texture, the broth is rich in chicken aroma too. Very authentic Ipoh style. The chicken meat is tender too. If you are not a fans of soupy noodles, you can try the Dry Koay Teow with Prawns ($6.9). The noodles dish is topped with a number of prawns and slices of chicken breast meat, quite worth the price! As for dessert, we had the Pappa cendol ($4.5). The brown sugar syrup is not overly sweet, with rich coconut cream flavour and lots of ice, the cendol is very refreshing and I reckon its worth the try. continue reading
