This stall may be more convenient for people working around raffles area but the wide range of their signature cakes sold there definitely caters to all craving for delicious soft japanese cakes.I bought this cake called 'Strawberry Hill' as the name caught my interest. This cake base consist of a crumbly tart with almond frangipane. On top lie layers of custard, sponge cake, fresh cream and strawberries. I really really love the different layers of texture and taste this whole cake provides! It was buttery,crumbly,soft,moist,smooth,juicy all at the same time when eaten together! You can also eat the layers separately from top to bottom and enjoy each layer one by one. I really applaude and salute the pastry chef dedication to acheive such wonderful time consuming product.This is a all-in-one all rounded cake than i feel will satisfy any cravings for soft cakes and crumbly tarts! I will definitely have it again pretty soon. =) continue reading
