Six of us patronized the Greenwood branch one Wednesday evening, which also happens to be the original outlet which first opened back in 2004.

We started off with an appetizer to share before diving straight for the pizzas for which we ordered the family XXL size for both!

The Funghi Portobello con Pollo $20 was actually a crumbed battered whole portobello which was deep fried and topped with a heap of caramelized onions and sautéed chicken fillets in red wine sauce.

Mushroom lovers will rejoice at this dish and non-mushroom fans will become converts. The portobello was thick and juicy while the sautéed chicken fillets and onions lent a subtle sweetness with the red wine sauce and added a softness to the crunch of the portobello exterior. We cleaned this up quickly, not even leaving a single onion strip left on the plate.

And moving onto the pizzas...

Our first XXL Family Pizza was made up of 1/2 Funghi and 1/2 Pancetta for $50. We were all very surprised when this huge round pizza reached our table because the size was certainly something to behold. And with such mouthwatering toppings and two very yellow soft yolks staring at you, it's simply hard to resist.

The Funghi was made up of 3 different types of mushrooms- button, shiitake & porcini. This one was bursting with flavour from A LOT of garlic added and I loved the mix of mushrooms. We are did agree however that a little less shiitake mushrooms would have been more ideal as it did contribute a slight bitter aftertaste.

Pancetta on the other hand, was cured bacon, sliced tomatoes & soft eggs. Very very salty and it was a good thing we only ordered 1/2 of it. A whole pizza of Pancetta would have definitely left us very thirsty the entire night with so much sodium in the cured bacon!

Yes, that's a guy's hand placed over the pizza to emphasize how big it really is!

And the one pizza you HAVE to order when you come here?

The XXL Family Pizza Prosciutto Crudo di Parma $50 which is basically just really really good Parma ham topped with a lot of rocket leaves to counter the saltiness. You cannot go wrong with this Chef's special that embodies the true Italian experience when you bite into the thinly sliced cured ham atop the melted cheese on their signature thin crust. This was SO GOOD!

And when the bill arrived, we realised that the prices were nett with no service charge added! Another plus point for coming to this family restaurant. So if you are looking for authentic unpretentious and quality Italian food at very reasonable prices for a large group, you know where to come for a great experience without having to bust the wallet!

Had dinner with a group of friends, and we were in the private room. It's a nice cozy place to chill and chat. Downside is that it is very difficult to get the service staff's attention. Someone always had to go out to get whatever we need. We got 3 21-inch pizzas to share, with two toppings on each pizza. We had Pepperoni, Frutti di Mare, Hawaiana, Margherita, Pancetta, and Salmon. My favorites were the Frutti di Mare and Hawaiana, but the other toppings were all quite decent too. Serving time

My favorites were the Frutti di Mare and Hawaiana, but the other toppings were all quite decent too. Serving time was also reasonable.

My only gripe was that one of the pizzas was a bit charred at one part. But it was my first time at this place, so I would give it another chance (:

We also had a few jugs of ice lemon tea to share.

I found the price a bit high though.

When you come to Peperoni Pizzeria, be sure to get their signature Peperoni Pizza! The pizza is really yummy, with a nice medium thick crust that is thin enough but not too thin so that it still has good bite to it. The pizza is generously topped with lots of peperoni and cheese too. It is a little greasy from the cheese but it is very satisfying. Stringy cheese stretches from your mouth when you take each bite! Yummy!

Pepperoni Pizza is really good. This store has medium crust pizzas which are just the right thickness not too thick nor thin. The pastry base remains crisp but still has some bite to it. They were also very generous with their toppings and the pizza was full of cheese although it was a little oily. Overall a great meal but it has to be eaten while still hot! The slice is really big too so it's quite substantial. Each pizza costs $19++.

Have been frequenting this restaurant ever since hearing raves Abt it. I have tried it and yes! The pizza is really nice. We ordered : 1) large pizza - diavola + pancetta If u love pork and savory food, this must be your best bet! Diavola has pork salami resting in a bed of cheese. Unlike other restaurant, they were certainly generous with their cheese and filling on the pizza. Pancetta is my favourite. Will order this Everytime I come. Savoury Cured bacon served with tomato and soft boiled egg.

Pancetta is my favourite. Will order this Everytime I come. Savoury Cured bacon served with tomato and soft boiled egg. The egg is a complement to this pizza. Fluffy and running yolk just melt in my mouth;)

2) carbonara
This is another must have in this restaurant. It is Served with generous smooth cream sauce.

3) rosticciana
Oven grilled herb marinated back ribs served with potato wedges. We never tried this before. So, we ordered. This dish is disappointing.
My 2 sisters love ribs. And they attacked this dish immediately when it's hot! However, not only is it not marinated, it is also not fresh as well. the ribs taste like it is being frozen for many days and was not thawed completely when it was taken to cook. It totally spoil the taste. The potato wedges was still okay.

4) Deep fried chicken wings
I love deep fried chicken wings. The wings is crispy and served hot. However, it still not the best that I have eaten. It is just average ;) plus side is that it is not too small.

Food is good, But wait staff is rude. Hope the management do something to that.

My sister booked a place at this restaurant and brought our whole family there for dinner one night as she said it is the best pizza she has ever tasted. The pizza was no doubt delicious and we ordered the family size ones which was really huge! The meatballs here are really nice and juicy, and it really is the best side dish to complement your pizza dish! Chicken wings were also quite a nice dish, however not a must-try like the meatballs. You can choose two flavours for the family sized pizza.

Pizzas are freshly-made and baked so it may take some time. Deliveries are also available but only within 3km of the restaurant vicinity! Will go back another time!

We've discovered that Peperoni is one casual Italian joint where you can get good Italian food late at night. We were hit with an Italian food craving after working out at the gym late at night and were in our sweaty gym gear, and bound by the perimeters of a casual, no dress code policy that allowed for sweaty gym gear and late-night dining hours, the choice was fairly obvious.

We had:

1) Portobello Mushroom ($18), a starter dish of a juicy whole portobello, breadcrumbed and fried, then topped off with a chunky chicken and red wine-infused brown gravy was delicious. Peppery rocket leaves help lift the slightly heavy elements of the gravy.

2) Minestrone Soup ($8) was well done, rich in flavour and depth. The clear tomato based broth was also generously filled with mixed vegetables

3) Prawn Risotto ($24) with crunchy zucchini and plentiful sliced garlic in a tangy starchy tomato sauce. The generous helping of prawns were sweet and fresh, and not in an overly alkaline crunchy way. Risotto was done al dente, soft but with the tiniest bit of bite. If I had a gripe about this dish, it would have been that there was too much garlic

4) Manzo ($21), penne tossed in a beef with peppers and onions brown gravy was like a pasta version of our local cze char beef stir-fried with oyster sauce dish.Very Asian influenced, and it was not something we particularly liked because we weren't expecting such local flavours

To begin, this place wasn't very easy to find and definitely not bus-friendly, so one will be better off driving in or taking a cab. My friend introduces this place. That aside, when we arrived, we were told that they were out of gas and thus, no pastas or cook items except for pizza. The pizza took about 15mins to come and interestingly, they placed a cup of crayons for you to doodle on their paper laid table. We ordered half of Parma ham with rocket salad and another half or the cheesy hotdog.

Instead of pathetic few bits and pieces of ham that you'll be given somewhere else, Peperoni was generous and had many slices of ham eventually spread on the pizza.

We ordered the large pizza ($21) because if you order large (12 inch)or family size (21 inch) pizzas, you can choose to have 2 difference flavors. We tried the following 2 flavours:
Funghi – lots of mushrooms and cheese.
Pancetta – this is actually pepperoni pizza. It was a little bit on the salty side, but this can be rectified by sprinkling tobasco sauce on it.

Service was great, the waiters were always cracking jokes and very attentive (possibly due to the lack of customers). However, they were a little too attentive because when we went to take a close look at the displays in the restaurant, our unfinished pasta was cleared.

Was in the mood for some thin crust pizza so the glutton in me opted for Peperoni Pizzeria, which is owned and operated by fine dining chain Les Amis and boasts a never seen elsewhere in Singapore XXXL family size pizza, measuring 21 inches in diameter. Compare that with the 12-14 inches that is offered by other pizza joints and Peperoni easily takes the cake in terms of size.

Located in the upmarket and reclusive residential enclave of Greenwood Ave, Peperoni Pizzeria sits along a row of tiny shophouses that play host to various renowned F&B establishments such as Punggol Seafood, Lana, Greenwood Fish Market, just to name a few. The air conditioned area exudes a nice warmth through the use of pastel colours and various artworks by professional artists and school children alike. You can even follow the process of your pizza being made and then baked in the oven. There is also a small al fresco area behind which is reminiscent of a mini courtyard, complete with vines. If you need a pass time while waiting for your food or an aspiring artist, just ask for crayons and you can doodle on the paper tablecloths.

XXXL Pizza - If you order the large pizza (12 inches) and above, you can request to split your pizza into 2 totally different flavours, which allows for more variety. We had the Hawaii (tomato sauce, mozzarella, pineapple, cooked ham, bell peppers) and the Suprema (tomato sauce, mozzarella, shitake mushroom, chicken, sausage, onions and red chilli). The pizza crust was relatively thin but a tad too burnt along the edges. The base did seem a little too soggy from all the sauces as well. Ingredients didn't come across as plentiful but adequate nevertheless. Personally I thought that the Hawaii portion tasted better as it came across as more flavourful then that of the Suprema.

Creme Brulee - Ending our high carbohydrate meal on a sweet note was the creme brulee, which was quite good but certainly not the best I've had. Made from real vanilla beans, the pudding wasn't too sweet but the overly soft texture didn't exactly sit well with me. The sugar layer was thin and broke easily under pressure. Peperoni's rendition is comparable to the one at FRE(N)SH, just 1.5 times the size and double the price.

A lunch of gigantic proportions set the 2 of us back in excess of $60, which is still reasonable considering that the amount of food could have fed at least 3 people. In case you are wondering, no, we didn't finish the food. I surrendered at the halfway mark while my gf ate a quarter of it. The remaining quarter was doggy bagged. Service was slow and spotty and it was quite difficult to catch the wait staff's attention at times. They weren't rude or anything, probably just unattentive or not around.

I love the pizza at peperoni. The flavours are more unique than those of pizza hut and canadian. Their pizza is made from the tradition oven. I simply love their thin crust, it is so crispy. They have many different sizes and the large is about 21 inch. They are very generous with their ingredients making their pizza very worth it to eat. I really enjoy their pizza!

We went in a group of 6 and we ordered a family size pizza, 3 pastas and gnocchi. The pizza was really huge! It took up almost half of our table as you can see from the picture and surprisingly it tasted really good. We had 3 different pastas, black squid ink, carbonara and alio olio. The carbonara and aglio olio was fantastic, especially the carbonara. It was one of the best I have ever tasted. They were very generous with garlic and olive oil and that was what made the aglio olio so delicious.

The gnocchi was made up of potatoes and cheese. It tasted heavenly and especially good if you dip garlic bread with the cheesy sauce.
