I accompanied my girlfriends to lunch at Bugis Street despite already eating. I decided not to be a spoil spot and ordered myself a prawn omelette without rice. their omelette is very fluffy and it was seasoned perfectly. the prawns that they added into the omelette is very large. they were very fresh and the meat was sweet succulent. it combination of the prawn and the omelette was perfect. i ate it on its own, no need to order rice.

I decided to have my lunch at Bugis Street and take a break from the Chinese New Year Shopping. Ordered their Basil Pork rice to try. It was pretty good. They even have a fried egg on top of the rice. The basil pork was not too spicy for those who are afraid of spiciness. It was very tasty in fact. The minced pork was fried together with long bean and carrots. the long beans and carrots were cooked perfectly, still very crunchy. love the contrast in texture, tender minced meat and crunchy vegeta

This thai food is very cheap, one of the cheaper eatery in bugis. it is located in bugis street so you can stop by after hours of shopping or accompanying someone shopping for hours. The gravy is very tasty and goes well with the rice.

After shopping around bugis street, my friend and I decided to stop by Phong Thai Food for an afternoon tea. we ordered a plate of mango salad to share. The mango salad had two prices, one $3, one $4. We ordered the $3 to share. The portion did not turn out a lot. The mango was not too sour but the sauce was very sour. It really excites your stomach. There was a lot dried shrimp added to the mango salad. The mango salad was not too spicy as well. it makes a really great afternoon snack.
