Went to Pizza Memoirs after work. As it was my first time there, the place is not easy to find as it was not near mrt and need to take cab or bus from Tiong bahru or clarke quay. The place is quite relaxed and casual and it's a great place to chat with your friends as it shows live soccer match on a big screen. Besides pizza, it also sells fries at $4.90. The portion of the fries was quite huge and we couldn't finish it for 2 person. After looking through the menu, i decided to order the seafood pizza. It was quite cheap as it costs $15 and serves 2 to 4 person. We had to wait around 15 minutes for the pizza to be served. There was quite a generous amount of seafood like squid, prawns and crabmeat on the pizza. The only thing is the pizza crust was abit soft and soggy if left unconsumed for 2hours. continue reading

My girlfriend and I tried out pizza memoir. We ordered their rocket salad to kick start our meal. The rocket salad is so refreshing. The vegetables were so crisp and crunchy. The balsamic dressing is so good, went well with the salad. We could not resist and ordered two of their pizzas, the salmon and the capricciosa. The pizza was so good. it was my first time tasting the capricciosa pizza but it was not going to be my last. Love the combination of shitake, ha,, artichokes and black olive on the tomato base. The salmon pizza was so good. they used fresh slamon and caramelised onions making it so delicious! we were so fulled after eating up everything. continue reading

This 12"Hawaiin Pizza cost $20. The bread is think crust, quite nice, but a bit salty. I like the ourter part, got the nice smeel of bread. This is a normal pizza, made with tomato sauce, bell chilli, ham, pineapple and mozzarella cheese. It just normal,so not very worth to use $20 to eat this pizza. Maybe can ordered other pizza next time. continue reading

In August, I was rewarded a $10 Pizza Memoirs voucher by Openrice for being one of the new top openricers. I didn't have the opportunity to visit the restaurant these two months but because today was the day of expiry of the voucher, I made a special trip there. Actually, it couldn't be considered a restaurant. It was one of the stalls within a shophouse. There were three other stalls beside. The dining area was sort of outdoor. Though there was no aircon, it wasn't too hot. I was there around 12.30pm and there wasn't any customer yet. They have a variety of both pastas and pizzas. I ordered a small Salmon pizza takeaway for my kids. The cost of the pizza was $15 but they charged $1 for pizza takeaway. Their speciality was the 100% handmade pizza. There was only one man maning the stall. He took a dough and rolled it out into a flat circle. He placed the flattened dough on a circular wire mesh. Then he took a fresh salmon steak from the fridge and cut it into thin slices.First he spread the sauce, then added the cheese, salmon and onion. Finally, he took out a bottle containing tiny green 'beads' in vinegar and added some on the pizza. I thought it was pea but he told me it was some kind of fruit. It tasted sour. After all was done, he placed the pizza into the stone oven. 11 minutes later, a fragrant delicious looking pizza was done. He sliced it and place it in a box. He added a little more cheese. It was two hours later that I tasted a slice of the pizza. It was still very nice even after so long. The crust was a little like bread. It was not salty. The salmon was fresh. The little green 'bead' was a little sour. The combination was good. It would definitely taste better when it was fresh from the oven. I must find another opportunity to dine here. continue reading

Last time when i joined openrice,i've been rewarded a voucher.$10 for Pizza Memoirs.I'm so happy about it,so i share this happiness with my friends. The place is so beautiful and comfortable.I think European like to go there. This shop is unthe The Foundary. There also got TBB-The Better Burger,North Indian Tandori,Baan Khun Nai Thai cuisine and a bar. Some people will go there for a drink after jogging. That day is a rainy day,so we also feel the coldness. We also enjoy the old songs there.REally lots of old song, but i like it.But,there are quite lots of houseflies. So annoying. This 12"Hawaiin Pizza cost $20.But i used the voucher,so i just need to pay $10..So happy. The bread is think crust, quite nice, but a bit salty.I like the ourter part, got the nice smeel of bread. This is a normal pizza, made with tomato sauce, bell chilli, ham, pineapple and mozzarella cheese. It just normal,so not very worth to use $20 to eat this pizza.Maybe can ordered other pizza next time. continue reading
