Signature Dishes
The interior of the Pizzeria L'Operetta restaurant with a beautiful picture of a Church on the wall. The Woodfire Oven - according to the staff, the wood burning inside is wood from Orange Trees. A big brown vase as a decor piece..gives the impression of a Large Chocolate Fondue~ Part of the Lunch Set is a plate of nice salad with generous cheese & corn toppings. A set comprises a pizza, a salad & a drink - $20++ Panna E Funghi - Cream sauced pizza with mozzarella, mushrooms, basil and parmesan. The sides of the pizza is slightly crispy and has a chewy texture. Great pizza with lots of mushroom and melted cheese. Margherita Con Melanzane - Tomato sauced pizza with eggplants, basil and parmesan. Love the tomato base! Pizzeria L'Operetta Restaurant - The Woodfire Oven being the centre piece is eyecatching and that was what attracted me to try this restaurant. It was a restaurant with a nice ambience and delicious pizzas.

Pizzeria L'Operatta proud themselves for baking authentic mouthwatering Italian pizza in the imported legendary Vera wood-fired oven.I have the Diavola Pizza which is one of the Chef's recommendation. It has tomato sauce, mozzarella, salami, chilli, basil and parmesan. The fresh tomato sauce was the star for me. The crust was also soft and chewy. The Chicken Wings were well seasoned and tasty soaking up the marination perfectly.

Pizzeria L'Operetta has a pretty cool interior deco I reckon, especially the painting on the wall. Although this place is famous for their pizza, we didn't really order any during our last visit though. Instead, we had the Buffalo Mozzarella, Prosciutto and Cherry Tomatoes entree. The dish is so colourful, and doesn't taste too heavy despite the fact that it's cheese and olive oil. Well done. The spaghetti tastes just alright, the tomato sauce is too less I reckon. Luckily the goat cheese does enhance the flavour by tiny bit.We then had the Gelato as dessert. the icy sour berries gelato is just nice to clean our pellet. Hmm.. perhaps we should come back again to try their pizza.

Not sure if you have heard of this pizza place that imported special bricks from Italy to create their fire oven? Well, this is it!! Apparently, it's currently the only one in Singapore and it has to be certified so. Not all brick-ovens in Italy automatically qualify for this certification. This special brick-oven is supposed to bake awesome tasting pizzas with crusts that have that slightly charred taste. The pizza crusts are indeed cooked till the correct textual and slightly burnt, together with the fresh ingredients. Good base for the pizzas. Of the four pizzas we ordered, I only found their Diavola and Marinara very nice.We ordered 4 pizzas and 2 Carbonara in total. The Carbonara was nice but not so awesome that I'll rave about it. It had a good body to the cream sauce (not runny) and they also used fresh pasta so that's another plus point. However, there are many of these 'nice' pizza / pasta places so I'm not likely to return unless already in the area, craving for good pizzas.
