I had the smoked duck breast penne with fresh vegetables in thai sauce for $7.90. The sauce tasted sweet and did not really tasted like thai sauce. The smoked duck breast was quite tender and flavourful but there were not many inside. It would be better if the pasta was less oily. It was sufficiently flavoured though. I also added a chicken wing which was on promotion. The chicken wing was quite oily but nicely grilled. Waiting time was quite long as there's always a queue at this stall.

The eye catching promotion of their monthly special caught my attention so I decided to order the special laksa prawn spaghetti to try it. This costed $7.90 (before 10%, using the kopitiam card so price was not expensive). There was a rather strong taste of shrimps and the laksa taste was distinct yet not overpowering. There was plentiful of gravy and the texture was thicker than soup's texture but lighter than sauce. Prawns were not fresh though. Overall, it is still worth the try I'd give it

I'd give it a 4/5 if the prawns were fresh.

Mediacorp’s famous artist, Ben Yeo was running his pasta business. My impression towards him was naughty and cheerful, Play Kitchen was the most suitable name ever. The portion was all right, decent taste with springy texture. Seafood was fresh from ocean, great refreshing savour. Hot and spicy for my liking, entire was a finely stir-mix. Definitely a healthier choice, it used Olive oil for the base seasoning. The price was reasonable at $6.90, I get extra 10% discount upon using Kopitiam Member Card to pay.

Finally got to tried the pasta here after seeing quite positive online reviews, when I happened to be at the Jurong area last weekend. The Suckling Chicken Steak with Aglio Olio ($8.90) would be nicer if the skin of the chicken can really be like its name, to be something like the suckling pig, thin and crispy. However, mine isnt that crispy, if it can be crispier, it would be great! I love the aglio olio sphagetti, very flavourful and tasty! The Laksa Prawn spaghetti ($7.90) is a pasta with a l

While out buying dinner, i decided to try the spaghetti from Play Kitchen, which is co founded by Ben Yeo (the actor-host).I got the Sambal Belachan Grilled Fish with Aglio Olio Spaghetti ($8.90, with additionally $0.30 for takeaway).Anyway they have this fancy box for takeaways. Anyway they have this fancy box for takeaways. As you can see, they were quite generous giving two slices of grilled fish at the side. Frankly speaking i had high expectations but the fish wasn't that nice and it was quite hard. Both the fish and the spaghetti are quite dry. The sambal belachan is also placed at the side but i am sure if you eat there, its placed atop the fish.

I had say i would give this stall another chance and try their carbonara spaghetti next time but definitely avoiding their aglio olio.

Chicken Mushroom Pesto Spaghetti ($6.90) is probably the in-between of the not-so-adventurous and adventurous pastas. The Pesto sauce here is not as nutty as it would from other places, as it uses a pretty heavy cream base. It also is pretty garlicky, which gave it a really nice aroma which is reminiscent of Cafe Indulge’s pastas as well. The chicken is tender and very juicy and fragrant; also similar to Cafe Indulge’s version as well. The mushrooms add an earthy taste to the dish and the pasta is cooked just right, retaining the springiness of the noodles.

Savour your taste buds with this plate of yummy spaghetti soaked in right amounts of herbs and cream with every strand of sphagetti carrying its tasty and aromatic cream with strong garlic flavours. The chunks of mushroom and chicken were so small that it was hardly noticeable under the dim lights in Kopitiam. Just look closely and stare hard, I bet you will find one. Well, after months of wait, Kopitiam is finally open, at least majority of the stalls are in operation. Pasta lovers out there, do take a chance and this modest pasta stall located in one of the kopitiam stalls.

Play Kitchen, business owned by our local Celebrity Ben Yeo (Yang Zhi Rong) as one of the partners was there during my visit. At the first look, I could not recognize that the skinny guy was actually him as his outlook was totally different from what we had seen on the TV programs. After a few glances, I finally confirmed that he was actually that guy we were talking about.

My order took about less than 5 minutes of waiting time. While the chefs are busying cooking, their supervisor (i believe) is standing in front of the stall guiding them and giving comments. Whao... It looks so serious, I guess it isn't play time for them even though it was name as "Play Kitchen".
