Polar Puff is current running a promotion with NETS FlashPay where you get to enjoy a complementary slice of sugar roll with min $3 spent. Their Sugar Roll ($1.20/pcs) has been one of my favourite tea time quick fix. The cake is soft and light and I especially love the slightly moist texture which makes every bite literally melts in your mouth.Recently, they have also launched a new item – Wholemeal Sugar Roll ($1.40/pcs) which is targeted at the more health conscious folks. It is significantly less sweet than the regular sugar roll and has a coarse and slightly crunchy texture. If you are looking for a wholesome, guilt-free tea time snack, this would make the perfect match!Do pop by your nearest Polar Puff outlet to enjoy this special promotion tie up and satisfy your tea time snack attack! continue reading

I was feeling a little hungry after walking around the mall. I walked past Polar and decided to get the chocolate roll for my snack. The chocolate roll costs $1.30. There is also the strawberry and sugar (vanilla) roll if you don't like chocolate. The roll is quite dense in weight and I loved the taste. It is not too sweet and the cake is a little moist which makes it very much more delicious. The chocolate taste is also not too overpowering such that you get sick of the taste. Overall, I found it to be good and I will definitely buy it again next time. continue reading

Was having a company party and get to try the Hokkiado cake from Polar. The presentation looks simple and neat. Tried both the vanilla and strawberry cream flavour and they are both equally good. The sponge cake is extremely soft and slightly moist in texture. The fresh cream to me is abit too sweet but is quite smooth in texture. Great to have it with a cup of English tea. continue reading

i bought the chicken sausage roll at polar puff for tea. the entire pastry was pretty large in size. I took a bite and notice that the chicken sausage was not very big and there were a lot of empty spaces in the pastry. The pastry was very buttery and fragrant. it flakes really easily and crumbs tend to fly everywhere. The chicken sausage was cooked perfectly, the texture was just right. The entire pastry was kind of filling for me. continue reading

The classic original sugar rolls! I have been eating them since I was a kid, I remember how my dad used to buy at least half a dozen of them home each time. I have also tried the strawberry and chocolate ones but nothing beats the original vanilla flavor.I always bite off the whole sugar surface first before proceeding to finish the rest of the piece. I like how the cake melts in your mouth with a full buttery flavor. Also great as a gift for co-workers to share during afternoon tea. continue reading
