I was slightly hungry so I went around looking for some light snacks in the basement. I walked towards Polar and decided to get their swiss rolls. There are a few types of rolls available, sugar roll (yellow), strawberry roll (pink) and chocolate (dark brown). I like that it is conveniently packed in a box so that the cake will not get squashed easily. The roll is quite dense but it is also not too dry and it is rather moist in fact. Bought a small squarish cute cake with "angry birds" on it for a birthday celebration. Flavor of the cake is chocolate. The cake actually tasted ok, just that it is very creamy on the outside. Inner side of the cake is the chocolate chiffon cake and it tasted not bad too, a little moist in the texture. The price sold is reasonable and it is good enough for maybe around... 4-5 adults. One thing to note is that the cake is best served extremely chilled as the cake melts really fast.

I have bought a whole Natalie whole cake from this outlet to celebrate my grand mother birthday. The regular size only cost at $24.80. The cake is filled with the hazelnut paste which is really creamy but a bit too sweet. The layers of chocolate cake sponge is quite moist and soft in texture. Hunger pangs striked and just wanted to get something that was easy and in finger food kind while walking around this mall. Wanted something savoury and spotted Polar puffs, so I went for the chicken pie besides the others the terriyaki chicken and the sausage pie etc. The taste was good and in fact their cakes and puffs had always been nice and tasty and irresistible at times.

Sold at slightly more than a dollar each, eclairs are served chilled. The chocolate coating over the puff doe snot taste too sweet and is slightly hard adding texture to each bite of the eclair. The cream in the eclair was however disappointing to me because unlike some eclairs which have chocolate cream stuffed in the eclair, Polar chose white cream which is a little over powering covering the taste of the puff and chocolate coating. Additionally, the cream within the eclair is too sweet for me

My cousins are the sweetest bunch of people ever! I turned 20 last week so they came to my house and surprised me. Little did i know,until a few hours later, that they actually ordered a gorgeous looking volkswagen cake(because i loveeee volkswagen)!! It was such a pretty pink and the fondant tasted really sweet and it had abit of bubblegum flavour. The cake inside was really soft and it was layered with hazelnut cream. As my birthday and my brother's birthday is very near, I requested for a smaller cake during my birthday. I got this cookies and cream cake from Polar which cost slightly less than $20. I was eagerly anticipating the taste, since its cookies and cream and I thought a cake can't go wrong with this. However, I was disappointed. For my birthday a few months back, my friends bought me a Chocolate Mousse Cake from Polar.What I really loved about this cake is how it was light and could be eaten in excess without it being too creamy. This is because the cake consists of light chocolate sponge and creamy chocolate mousse which is a great balance.Definitely a cake to try for those who do not like cakes that are too creamy or chocolatey as this has the right balance.

hehe.That's cake number 2!All my cousins make quite a large group so one cake was not enough..We had to buy 2.This one's called Opera and i absolutely loved it!!! The layers of sponge cake is coated with rich chocolate on top and lined with coffee cream. The best part about this cake is the bottom!! It tastes like krispies(pic below) and the combination of the cream and everything made the cake taste real good,I thought.

I was working for Boat Asia 2011 and my generous boss once again treated us to food. This time, great snacks from Polar. He bought a total of 17 puffs, a mixture of Chicken Pie, Tuna Puff and the signature Curry Puff!
