Salutation, folks! Anybody craves for cheap and affordable bowl of wanton noodles? Everybody in Singapore should have tried at least once in their lifetime. Salutation, folks! Anybody craves for cheap and affordable bowl of wanton noodles? Everybody in Singapore should have tried at least once in their lifetime. Wanton noodles stalls are everywhere in the coffee shops, but what is so special about this Pontian Wanton Noodles I am writing about? If you have not tried it, let me tell you about it. Wanton has two types, soup or fried. Coincidentally, I like both versions of Wanton in Pontian. The fried version is very crispy, light and the meat filling is absolutely mouth watering. One small bite of the wanton makes you want to eat another. It is like a chain reaction, you just can't get enough of it. The soup version is also very delicious, cook in the broth to perfection. The thin layer of wanton looks silky and smooth covering the inner meat filling. When attempting to eat the soup wanton, be cautious, it is bloody hot. Once in your mouth, you can feel the smooth wanton skin almost gliding down to your throat effortlessly. I mean, real. It was so smooth and silky that I have to be mindful when I am eating. To be honest, I do not know why people are paying so much for wanton in expensive places when they can get such wanton around heartland coffee shops. Next time, when you are around a mall or coffee shop, feeling hungry and not sure what to eat. Do me favour, just buy one wanton noodle and try it. You will be surprised, because it is the truth.

A friend from Pontian told me before that it was the poor copy of the typical dish from Pontian, people either love it or hate it. Noodle was thickly heavy and eggy, I had a springy bite. Coated with distinctive ketchup sauce, it was smoothly delicious. Dumplings were a crisp, minced pork wrapped was nice salty. Amount of Char Siew was too little, thinly sliced and placed on top of bowl. No doubt it was not the authentic one, but as long as the taste suited my liking I would considered it was the good one.

pontian noodles needs no introduction as it is widely known for its good taste and fabulously cooked noodles that are well cooked. love the fried wantons here at pontian which is really fragrant and is cooked on the spot when an order is placed. although the portion is small, it is substantial. love the char siew too which is sweet and not too fatty. Great bowl of noodles that are affordable too.

I found this wantan stall in BLK446 Pasir Ris Dr6 coffee shop. I ordered the dry style noodles. The stall provide Pointian (in Johore, Malaysia) style of wanton noodles, unlike the local wanton dishes which is more near to the Cantonese style. The sparkle spot is using a lot of black sauce mix with either tomato or chili sauce and eat with few slices of fish cake & wanton soup. Taste has bit sweetness. I personally do not like it.

At $2.80, this serving of wanton noodle is sufficient for a filling meal. Famous for its wanton noodles, this stall attracts strings of customers daily and its fried wanton is popular amongst patrons. The black sauce and chili noodles are my favourite choice as it blends well stirred with the noodles. The wantons are served freshly fried and is crispy and tasty. The char siew its serves are lean meat and hence easy to chew and swallow. A highly recommended bowl of noodles for all to try!

Had this for dinner a few days ago! Love the tanginess and chewiness of the noodle! And the wantons, oh so crispy! Love the mix of sauces that is incoporated into the noodles and the ingredients. The soup is also rather tasty and not salty at all. At an economical price, this dish is definitely one i would recommend for a quick, satisfying dinner at the hawker centre!

I love the wonton mee at pontian, espcially their fried wanton. It was not oily, and tasty. Their noodie is not those springy type, but more of those starchy type, and it goes really well with their dark sauce and chilli sauce. If you are able to eat chilli, do request for more chilli, it will definitely taste even better. Their soup is just the normal soup, you can drink it or don't.

this place makes great wanton noodles. it's the only thing on their menu besides the dumplings. you can choose what sauces you want. the black sauce with chilli is the best. the noodles are springy and great. but the char siew has the sickening fake red colour which i don't like. prefer a natural char siew marinade wiht less red colouring. there's some bits of vegetables but not much. the crunchy wanton is nice. comes with a salty chicken soup. recommended.

the noodles here are fantastic and not expensive. the portion is alright but i would have loved more noodles as they were so good! the sauce was perfectly balanced. the fried wonton is really good. but the boiled wonton wasn't too good - it had some dried shrimpy taste that was too fishy and odd. the soup was pretty tasty. i like to spoon some soup onto the noodles to loosen the noodles as the noodles can tend to stick together. very fast and efficient service. recommended.

As it was crowded at the hawker centre, i went for take away. I have a sudden craving for wanton noodle after i came across the pontian wanton noodle stall. I packed a serving of $4 and went back home to eat. I must say the ingredients are generous. They gave alot of Char Siew, wantons and dumplings. The noodle sauce is the star of the whole dish which brings out the taste and aroma. It is actually the sauce to marinate the char siew. Must try!!!!

I really like this chain's wanton mee. It's consistent in quality and taste and very fast and efficient due to the long queues. The pricing is very reasonable. Their deep fried wanton is melt in your mouth and small so it's easy to crunch on without hurting your gums. The boiled wantons are not as good. The noodles are nicely done and the standard black sauce is just nice. You can add chilli is you want. Comes with soup and bits of vegetables. The soup is nothing to talk about. The wanton mee is

I love this store because it's reasonable priced and tastes great! No ugly presentation and no pretense. Just good old wanton noodle old school style. You can choose your sauces and add more wantons if you want. Comes with a wanton soup with boiled wantons in it. The serving is just nice for a light meal. Service is very fast and efficient and you should knwo what you want to order by the time you get to the front of the queue because there's always a long queue behind you.

The noodles did not turn soggy even when you order takeaway, the noodles remain springy and still have its moisture rather than turning dry. I find pontian noodles to be unique because of the texture and taste of the noodles. I especially loved their noodles and I will definitely add black sauce and chili to my noodles. Also, there is both fried wonton and boiled wonton which allow one to try the wonton cooked in different methods.

Pontian wanton noodles originate from Malaysia and comes with a special dark sauce that has a unique taste. The noodles are springy and give a good bite. The sauce added was appropriate such that the noodles was not too wet nor was it too dry. The char siew is well marinated and tender. The fried wanton has a very thin skin and is very crispy. This is a good breakfast to have.
