Pontian Wanton Noodles House is a noodle stall with various outlets in Singapore and Malaysia. One thing about the dry version of the wanton mee here is that one is given the option of having black sauce, chilli sauce or ketchup. Usually most places only offer 2 choices. But then again for $3 a bowl for either the dry or soup version, one cannot complain much.

Monday’s quite a hot and fine day when I went out with colleagues for lunch

We drove to the nearby Yishun area to have our meals!
I decided to order a bowl of Wanton Noodles (Dry).
You can choose between dry or soup.
For dry noodles, you have the option to choose sweet sauce, chilli or even tomato sauce

It's quite cheap for a bowl of noodles with fried wantons and a small bowl of soup with watons in it too

So for one price you get to try two types of wantons

Only one bad point i find is that the fried wantons are getting so small, barely much fillings in them

Overall Pontian Wanton Noodles is still a not bad choice for meal!

This is really nice .The mee is soft and at the same time have the chewy texture. The char siew is also not too hard like other places char siew which taste like a stone (exaggerating). The wanton is very smooth and it can just slide down you throat - yes it is that smooth . Even though the wanton may be a lot smaller, but it still tastes nice. The soup will be better if they could remove or add less oil when preparing it

This noodle has always been my parents' favourite choice of wanton noodles for quite a few years already. It may looks really simple and plain, but the secret in this dry noodles is the chewyness of it as it is handmade daily. Their signature dark sauce which has been mixed with various kind of spices and sauces has also impressed their regular customers' taste buds as well. However I should say their char siew meat is only with that 'so so' factor.

Pontian Wanton Noodles has been very famous since it first started out . Pontian is a place in Malaysia, thus from its name as you can see. The is a Malaysia version of Wanton mee I feel that apart from the difference in the noodle, another difference lies in the Wanton ! The wanton tastes scrumptious, you could see people just ordered a both of wanton soup or fried wanton to eat . The soup also tastes very tasty ! Yummy all the way to the stomach

Pontian WTM is something different from the usual WTM we had. It's more 'malaysian' styled which utilize heavily on only both soy sauce and chili.Noodles are slightly thicker than the norm and the texture seems tougher.Personally, I do not really fancy this kind of wan tan mee.The only thing I find it decent is the wantan.Serving is reasonable for the price of $2.50.Maybe it just not my type of wan ton mee.
