I was at Changi Airport late at night and decided to buy a chicken wing from Popeyes for supper. Brought it back all the way from Changi to the west side so it was cold. Surprisingly though, it did not taste bad even though it was cold. The chicken from Popeye is normally less oily as compared to KFC's and because of that, it also tends to be less juicy. My mom and I shared a 3-piece chicken tenders meal, I love the tenders as usual. The service at this Popeye's outlet is rather slow, I'll say. Popeye's claim themselves to be lousiana kitchen, which is new to me because I never even know what lousiana cuisine is it. But besides the name, it is just pretty much like a fast food restaurant.Their signature dish is of course their fried chicken, which is fabulous. Got to love their whipped potato here. It's very different from their competitors, sauce wise. Their whipped potatoes are served with some sauce that has chilli flakes in it and it really does make a difference in taste! The whipped potato is soft and not too wet for consumption.Spicy food lovers like me are should be convinced that this is one of the better whipped potatoes in town!

Friends know i am a big fan of Popeye's fried chicken. And, for the same reason i have stopped patronizing the other popular fried chicken chain. If i have to compare the chicken between Popeye's and other, my choice gotta be Popeye's. I started eating when they had their first and only outlet at Terminal 1, Changi Airport. Not my first time at popeye's @ airport.. Certainly not surprised by the crowd. It is always packed, no matter which part of the day did you go there. I always love their mash potatos, more than their chicken. I would order a large mash potato just for myself and I also love the biscuit!! It's funny that their best dish is not chicken. If you like to eat chicken, i would say go to KFC. Cheap and good and more value for money.Popeye's is far too expensive for a piece of fried chicken.

I would always visit this outlet whenever I am at Changi Airport, or if I was waiting for my flight. Although it is always crowded especially during lunch/dinner periods, however, the thought of the fried chicken always wins me over to wait for a seat. This fried chicken is so much better than its competitors. The first time my teeth sank into the meat, I was so shocked that it was so tender! We had 4 chicken, 2 buttermilk biscuits, 6 popcorn shrimp, 1 regular mashed potato, 1 regular corn and 2 regular sjora juice. We could have the choice of New Orleans Spicy or Louisiana Mild for the chicken flavors but the staff don’t really care. We had to let them know and not wait for them to ask.
