Yeah, it was Popeyes's 4th Anniversary and we get to enjoy its value meal at affordable rate of $4.90 that comes with 2 pieces of big fried chicken and a cup of Green Tea.What I like about their chicken as compared to KFC was that it was more crispy and not that oily. The crust was surprisingly crunchy and most importantly it was scalding hot - it's hard to to lend my 10 fingers on the big pieces of chicken. Yeah, its big and Popeyes Lousiana was so generous with its portion even though it was a promotional combo meal.

Located at 313 Somerset is this spacious bright orange theme eatery that sell fried chicken. Over here is self service however the service crew here are all relatively friendly. Beside that there are also ample of seatings. Best of all, there are baby chairs provided over here. Thus this is definitely a child friendly place that you can bring your family along to enjoy a hearty meal.I oredered 6 piece pepper nuggets combo ($5.90), which comes with a side, a biscuits and a drink and 3 piece chicken tenders ($3.90).Something that is rather special as compare to the other fried chicken is the biscuit. It's lightly salted with a texture which is soft and between the texture of bread and cake rather than biscuit. Personally I like this a lot. On top of that, the chicken tender here is juicy and tender, highly recommended for people who prefer not to dirty their hands.The nuggets here are slightly more unique as compare to many other places. Beside the fact that you can taste REAL chicken meat, the chicken nugget is also mildly spicy. Overall I think popeyes has great quality of fried chicken. Although it's a fast food and is fried, the chickens aren't heavy laden with oil. Beside that service here is relatively good. Thus if you are around the area do come and try their fried chicken.

For the Fried Chicken lovers, Popeyes offers you an alternative from the usuals with their savory fried chicken in different forms. Here we have the Louisiana Pepper nuggets and the chicken tenders. I highly recommend these two from the usual chicken choice as they are boneless and easier to eat with lesser mess. The Pepper nuggets are slightly spicy for those who prefer spicy food. The portions are just nice to fill you up. Recommend the 6 piece combo at $5.90 that comes with a side, a biscuits and a drink. My favorite side is the mash potato which is one of the best I've tried. The sauce is not too salty which made is really good. The chicken tenders is like its name, tender and moist. It's quite huge so it's really filling. The 3 piece is going for $3.90. Looking for fast food? Go for Popeyes!

I love Popeyes, not for its fried chicken, but rather, for its biscuit. I am glad that Popeyes is opening more outlets in Singapore, making it easier to satisfy my cravings. When comparing Popeyes chicken to a more commonly seen fast-food place like KFC, their chicken is comparably drier. Even though one can think of it as not so oily and healthier, but i still prefer juicier meat. The price is comparable to other fast food, with the daily promotions.

I was still deciding what to eat at 313 somerset after walking around the basement and could not find any seats. I was surprise to see that popeye opened here. It was immediately my dinner choice. I headed in and ordered their two piece chicken set. I was glad to see that they have ice green tea as one of their drink choices. I upsized my fries side. The chicken is so crispy and juicy. some of my friends complained that popeye’s chicken had shrunk in size but this was not the case of this outlet’s. the chicken is ever so huge. It was not very oily too. which was a good thing.
