Signature Dishes
I always have cravings for Indian food at times. Who can withstand Prata, Naan or Tosai with delicious curry? Prata Wala happens to be the place convenient for comfort Indian Food. This is one of my hangouts place ;). Tiong Bahru‘s Prata wala happens to have some nice outdoor sitting. They have seats like that alfresco garden kind. The indoor seats are limited though but still it is all about the ambience. I ordered the two plain pratas, plain naan with spinach cottage cheese dip and curry. Prata is not too bad, crispy and delicious. The curry from prata wala is not too bad. Love the taste of it however the spinach cottage cheese dip is a little bit salty but still acceptable. The teh tarik was not alright but a little too sweet and this is the way how Indians like it.

It had been long since i ate prata wala! I remembered the prata was so crispy and milo dinosaur that i always drink was awesome! However, after a few years i stop eating prata wala, the standard drop so much! It is so unbelievable! the prata was not as crispy as before and the milo dinosaur(in the pictures) was not as recommended as before. Other than, the scoop of milo powder on top of the cup of milo, the milo tasted so diluted! I think too much ice was added! Another thing is i find the table was too sticky, i hope they could improve on their cleanliness.

This egg prata not only looks good, the taste is equally delicious as well. The egg fragrant has spread over the prata which make it really fragrant and also the texture is soft, light and fluffy as well. The mutton curry is definitely one of the winning secret for their delicious curry. The mutton is also very tender and juicy. The curry texture is quite thick and filled with the nice fragrant from the different spices used in it.

Went there for dinner with friends. I ordered Tandoori Naan Set. It looks tempting. It has two pieces of tandoori chicken, few pieces of naan, a small scoop of nasi briyani, piece of cracker and some sauces, curry, beans and green menthol. Other than that, there has a side dish of vege consist of brinjal and green chilli. First time trying this food, it taste not bad. The naan was soft and it quite good to eat with the sauces. The chicken pieces was tender and fresh but not spicy at all. The nasi briyani was a bit cold to eat but still not bad. Overall, the food was average.
