I met up with my friend for supper at one of the coffee shops near to his house. We ordered wu xiang to eat while we chatted. The wu xiang here is quite nice, there are a lot of ingredients that we could choose from. We ordered the ngor hiang, taiwanese sausage, tau kwa and a couple of other fried stuff which we are not quite sure of but took it because it looks nice. Most of the ingredients that we chose are still crispy even though it probably has been fried for some time. I love the ngor hiang the best of all because the ngor hiang's taste is the most savoury. The taiwanese sausage is not really to my liking as it felt too artificial and too salty. We did not order beehoon but if you want it to be more filling, you can order beehoon. continue reading

I went to have ngoh hiang with my mum and sis at choa chu kang. Apparently it is one of the nicer ones in the area. We ordered a couple of dishes to share. Their prawn cracker was really good, very light and crispy. The prawn was very crunchy too. The ngoh hiang was very tasty, it was not too salty unlike other places. The toufu was really good. It was so crispy on the outside and soft and juicy on the inside. The Taiwanese sausage was very fragrant too. Most importantly the chilli dip was really good, it was not too thick. The spiciness level and sourness level was just right. continue reading

i went for a family dinner at 302 choa chu kang. We ordered a couple of food to share. I simply love the prawn cracker. They had a wide selection of various ingredients. Almost all are deep fried but it is just so delicious. we ordered the prawn cracker, ngor hiang, fish cake, taiwanese sausage and popiah with vegetable ingredient. It was deep fried till very crispy. the ngor hiang very fragant, not too salty. The prawn on the prawn cracker was a little hard though but the batter was very crispy. I love their chilli sauce the most, it is rather spicy. I love it that it is quite sourish and goes well with the ingredient. continue reading
