Eggs Benedict (SGD16)
Soooo yummy!
Except the taste was too strong (gets a little jelat after a while) and the bacon was too salty!
The poached eggs were so bouncy, I accidentally poked it and it didn't burst one!
I guess it meant that the eggs were poached to perfection.

The view outside the cafe was pretty too. Good place to hang out with friends or even with your loved ones after a sumptuous meal!

With the walls painted skyblue, I felt really relaxed and my appetite was enlarged. There are both indoor and outdoor seating, but because it was raining we had to take shelter instead. The staff were not excellent in their service as I would expect, but they were just average.

There is a flat-screen television advertising different events and restaurants all around Singapore, which is probably under the same group alongside with Prive Cafe.

Cappuccino (left) - $5.50 and Toffee Coffee (right) - =$6.00
I believe Singaporeans must never go on a day without coffee, and Prive Cafe has an excellent choice of different types of coffee as they have a barista coffee machine over there.

Toffee Coffee
There was a slight hint of coffee taste, and it was quite an aroma. It didn't require sugar because it was already slightly sweet (and I prefer bitter coffee), and I could taste the quality of the milk. The froth wasn't as smooth as I'd preferred, there were bubbles appearing in the froth which made it too airy to taste.

Cappuccino
Because the froth wasn't skilfully done, therefore the cappuccino was really sub-par as compared to other coffee outlets. I guess Prive wasn't famous for their coffee, but the roasted beans were quite delicious.. perhaps its just because that the milk that they made for us wasn't a freshly brewed one (or perhaps they have already steamed it the second time).

Eggs Benedict - $16.00

Eggs benedict is one of the safest choice anyone can order in Prive Cafe, it is also a popular favourite hashtag in instagram. Anyway, eggs benedict comes with bacon (and poached egg), cheese, and i really love the hollandaise made by Prive. The rocket salad was absolutely fresha nd delicious too! It was a perfect combination but the plate wasn't hot and it cooled the food fairly quickly. By the time I Finished taking the pictures of the food, it wasn't as warm as before. The poached eggs are really good, but not as good as the ones I ate in SMU THe Basement. The yolk broke too easily.

Eggs Royale, on the other hand, have one of the most fantastic God's creation in this meal- SALMON. Prive is generous with their salmon, and their salmon is really fresh. The downside is that they claim it to be 'smoked salmon' but it really isn't, because I couldn't smell any smokiness taste and it was too raw for my liking. In fact, it just tasted like Sashimi in any Japanese store. The food wasn't warm as I'd like as well, but I love the cheese and hollandaise sauce mixing together.

It was quite a small portion for me, the muffin (bread) was quite easy to cut through and that is to my delight!
I'd wish Prive do something different with the Eggs course though, it feels like the 'poached eggs' craze is getting too common for me, and for a high-class cafe like Prive, they should really be innovative and not simply depend on the ambience. Truly I felt like I was paying for the ambience rather than for the food and service, or maybe I just developed very high expectations of them after hearing many great reviews of it.

Prive really has the perfect setting for a relaxing sunday brunch. tucked away at the south end of singapore, it’s as if you’re entering an oasis, with all the luxury yachts bobbing at the pier, warm sunlight reflecting off the water and a light buzz of chatter around.

Food-wise, I would say that Prive has quite a standard menu (especially for brunch, which you’re restricted to if you go there before 11.30am), but with some interesting hits as well. The eggs benedict ($16) is not done as well as what i’ve been accustomed to. The yolk was slightly too solidified!
But the hollandaise sauce was delicious and went well with the smoked leg ham and streaky bacon, balancing out the flavours nicely.

The espresso panckae stack ($14) was something different! Dense, yet fluffy pancakes infused with the flavour of espresso, topped with honeycomb, dark bitter chocolate pieces and drizzled with gooey chocolate sauce.

Prive’s ultimate brekkie ($20) was a hearty big breakfast – 2 eggs (any style, I chose scrambled! They had a nice fluffy texture, with a lovely flavour), english breakfast pork sausage, maple-roasted bacon, roasted roma tomato (absolutely yummy, oozing with fragrant juices), sauteed button mushrooms, a beautifully done crispy hashbrown and wholemeal toast.

prive serves normal homestyle pancakes ($13) as well, other than their espresso pancakes. this was pretty standard though, nothing particularly outstanding about it. you can opt for blueberries for an extra $2.

The dish i found most interesting was the black beans & eggs ($18). haha never seen a dish where the highlight is black beans!
It was done pretty nicely though! I thought the black beans were quite tasty, and they came with two sunny side up eggs with jalepenos and crispy baby squid.

Prive is a nice cafe by the waterfront where all the yachts are docked; nice scenery and ambience, but due to the hot weather I decided to get a table indoors. Bf had the Bad Ass BBQ burger which was disappointingly small. Though tasty, it was almost about a fist size! Beef patty was thick, and came with thick cut fries. Well, I would say come here for the ambience, quite a perfect place to bring a date, but for the food, it is average and do not expect too much.

Decided to head down to Prive Cafe for their brunch menu on a weekend. Quite a few selection on the menu and I decided to have the Ultimate Breakfast and opted for 2 sunny side up for the eggs. The pancakes were mediocre, even I could do better ones at home. They were dry, and not even warm upon arrival.
Didn't taste good too. We didn't even finish half of it.

It was a good thing it rained the night before, because the wind was cool and breezy. It was great just sitting there with a cuppa and letting the morning slide away.

One thing that I would return to prive for though, are their desserts. We ordered a chocolate tart and until today, I cannot find one which matches their standards. Whether it is their use of varlhona or some secret ingredient, I still can't put a finger on what made it so yummy.

Everytime when I feel like having a nice cup of coffee for my teabreak, Prive cafe is definitely one of my favourite venue. Not just the cafe's environement is spacious and cosy, the service staffs here are also very friendly. One of my must buy dessert will be their muffins. The butter flavour is really rich in the cake sponge and the generous amount of fresh cream used in it make it really moist and delicious too. The slices of almond also added that extra crunch to the muffins.

My hubby and I enjoy visiting Prive café for a relaxing brunch. The cafe, located on Keppel Island, serves comfort food, with a reasonable price tag. We visited a couple of times, for both brunch and dinner.

The best thing about Prive Café is the ambience. Diners can enjoy the view of the waterfront (and the many yachts parked there).

If you wish to dine at the alfresco area, do check the weather forecast. Although the area is sheltered, if the rain is heavy, you will still get wet. There was once we were brunching indoors, and a heavy downpour occurred, forcing many diners to leave the alfresco area.

Service is friendly and efficient, no complaints from me!

The cake itself was the BEST hazelnut cake I have ever tasted. It is perfectly sweet and chocolately and the texture of the cake is just right. However, it is a hassle to come to the restaurant. I recommend you taking a cab (around $6) from Vivo City.

I had Eggs Benedict ($16) and found that it was not bad. The eggs are nicely done and the hollandaise sauce was sufficient. I felt that the portion was just right as well.

The view from the cafe is also brilliant, as it is located at Keppel Bay. There are boats anchored at the dock. The dock itself is an excellent place for camwhoring as well

Eggs royale and eggs benedict are just the same with 2 poached eggs and salmon and bacon respectively. But what left a deep impression on me was eggs royale (the one with salmon). I'm usually not a salmon taker but this dish totally blew me off. The saltiness of the egg goes well with the salmon and the after taste with the rocket salad was fantastic!! The eggs benedict was equally good as well but just on preference, I prefer eggs royale.

Ultimate breakkie was ultimate with bacon, german sausage, scarmbled eggs, bread, tomato, hashbrown and rocket salad. Although abit pricier than the rest, but this one dish is quite filling. We ate banana french toast the last, so it ended up soggy due to the sauce but it was a good dish after the 3 savoury ones!!
