I was first greeted by the friendly Uncle when i approached the stall. He recommended their signature Punggol Noodle for only $2.50. It was generally a bowl of mee kia served with a handful of minced meat with slices of fishcake together with braised mushroom to serve. It tasted just like the usual bak chor mee. I would think the portion was pretty decent and worth it for the price. The nicely cooked mee kia has got a desired springiness with no alkaline taste that i detested and it tasted good

The nicely cooked mee kia has got a desired springiness with no alkaline taste that i detested and it tasted good when tossed well with the sauce underneath. The level of spiciness was just right though i requested for an extra amount to be added. Bits of bean sprouts added to give it a delightful touch. There are plenty of fried pork lards available for self-service. Though sinful but a good way to enhance its general taste.

A decent eat if you happen to be in this food centre. I would be keen to try their handmade meatballs if i happen to be there again.

I order punggol noodles (mee pok with chilli) $2.50 with their meatballs soup ($1.50) with self service of vinegar, pork lard, dong cai, soya sauce. i love their sweet vinegar with their chilli, with mee pok cooked just well with their fresh ingredients of pork meat, mushroom and fish cakes, very generous in portion, meatballs consists of 50% pork and 50% fish with bian yu powder, very unique, soup is nice with seaweed and dong cai, no soya sauce needed. worth to eat.
