This chinese restaurant has really spacious layout and really like the clear and clean light blue decoration in this restaurant as well. First time bought their claypot sea cucumber to go along with bowls of plain rice with my sister. The braised sauce is simply delicious as it is thick and flavourful. The sea cucumbers are also very chewy and soft in texture. The service staffs also quite prompt to our request whenever we request for topping up of our chinese tea pot.

i can always count on pu tien for some old style heng hwa comfort food.And i particularly love their vermicelli.Just look at that mound of ingredients! And the rice vermicelli that's been fried in seafood stock such that all the goodness has been sealed in! What's your favourite ingredient? It's my first visit to Putien City Square outlet. I'm impressed by the brightness of the restaurant, and getting the window seats is a bonus where we could view the street scene while dining. This is PUTIEN pork ribs ($5.90) from the Summer Menu. The menu was a little misleading because in the menu they showed a picture of 3 pork ribs on the dish and we assumed that we would also be given 3 pork ribs in one serving, but that was too good to be true- you only get ONE pork rib paired with a slice of chinese yam for $5.90. Located just a street away from its parent restaurant at Kitchener Road, Pu Tien has opened another restaurant at City Square Mall. With the new restaurant, more people can get to enjoy the delectable Pu Tien Xing Hua Cuisine. In addition, parking will not be a problem compare to the original restauarnt.Whenever I visit Pu Tien, I must order the Fried Xing Hua Beehoon and the Lychee sweet and sour pork. The beenhoon has the qq texture and while their sweet and sour pork is the best I have eaten.

If you are a food lover for 'yam', this yam rolls at Putien will sure impress you. It is make of purely mashed yam which are steamed till soft and smooth. The chef will then eventually make use of these mashed yam to found into many small slices of yam rolls before bring it to deep fry. Went to City Square mall at Kitchener Road for dinner with my friends. We ordered quite a number of dishes. I personally like the Xin Hua Fried Bee Hoon. The bee hoon is very thin and fine but the texture is chewy and nice. The price is quite reasonable at around $10. The serving is pretty good. As for dessert, i order my favourite yam paste with gingko nut. it only cost $4. very satisfied dinner

I ordered a meesua (small) which cost $7.90 if im not wrong. Fairly cheap considering their other dishes, but portions were for a single person so don’t expect a big bowl. I absolutely love their meesua. Its ‘dry’ meesua which means no soup but the noodles are still swimming in some sort of sauce (which is very nice to drink by the way). seems like some of my favourite dishes here have been taken off the menu. the tofu in a claypot!. anyhow i ordered 2 of their signature noodles , both were good , full of fresh seafood. i liked their duck wrapped in yam and never fail to order that everytime i dine here. prices are affordable for the quality of the food . i would give the fried anchovies appetiser a miss , it was bland and oily. other than that it was an enjoyable dining experience

Went to Pu Tien for a nice buffet with my family. There was such a wide variety of food available! We tried their different soups, deep fried items, steamed fish, hing wa bee hoon, desserts and many more. My most memorable item is the hing wa bee hoon! It is not oily at all! And there are nuts to give it more crunchy feeling. The noodles taste very ‘clean’ as there is not a lot of sauce used to stir fry it. The prawns in the noodles are very fresh too! great buffet!

This time round at Putien i tried out their cold dishes such as cold jelly fish head, drunken chicken and braised salted duck. The cold jelly fish head was crunchy and sweet, unlike other restaurants whereby the jelly fish slices then to me slimy and tasteless. One of the best Chinese restaurant in town which serve quality Chinese food with reasonable price. Love almost all their dishes, especially their chilli clams, deep fried yam roll, stir fried been hoon, sweet and sour pork and their signature yam paste with ginko nuts and coconut cream. Their roasted chicken meats are also very tender and delicious! Two thumbs up! My verdict: 7.5/10

Yummy Chinese foods can be found at PUTIEN. Lots of signature dishes to choose from at reasonable prices. The 'Must eat' are their yam paste in coconut sauce with gingo nuts, Putien signature rice noodles, Deep fried yam rolls, cockles in sweet and spicy sauce, xiao long bao, and etc. Endless food list and there will be sure a few dishes that you will love it. My verdict: 7.5/10

The City Square outlet is the only Pu Tien outlet that offers buffet for their Heng Hwa cuisine.During my 3rd and chance outing there, I was astonished to find out that they would be terminating their buffet in a few days' time! No reason was given. How sad!
