There are a lot of items on the menu, so much that i became at a loss as to what to order. Fried Pig Trotter, the minimum order is 2 pieces which cost about $10. The service is good, they offered to cut it into 4 pieces in total. Very crispy, and though there was not much meat, there is plenty of soft tissues, collagen! Fried Yam with Duck. A very yummy dish! They only showed 3 pieces on the menu, and thus I was expecting a small portion of it, but the food that came was huge! The yam is very loose, and perfectly fried on the outside. A filling dish. Oyster Omelette ($15) was the worst dish that I had in this place. Each piece seemed to be over-fried, and there was no starch in the dish. Very different from the authentic dish, and not in the good way! continue reading

There's a something chinese restaurant that has pretty good food!A something something.Din Tai Fung? No. It's some dialect group.OH! PUTIEN!Heng Hwa Lor Mee correct? I didn't know that there was a Putien in RWS. Makes sense since the outlet at Vivo closed for no rhyme or reason. We were glad to step into air conditioned comfort. And made our orders as soon as we sat down.Appetizers of drunken cockles. This was topped generously with minced garlic and small red chilli padi served refreshingly cold in a light wine marinade.Perfect way to kickstart out appetites. We had an order of lychee sweet sour pork was really just a subtle taste of the sweet fruit scent in the sauce and the odd couple of lychees. And definitely a large order of their braised noodles. I loved every bit of that savoury soup stock! continue reading

Recommended dishRecommended dishEven though the tofu is called spicy tofu claypot, it doesn't seems to be spicy. It is not how we expect the taste to be. It just taste normal. But you add their chilly source, the tofu taste excellent. Thanks to their chilly source. It saves the day :-)Food general delicious. My wife love their chilly a lot, it is suitable for the bee hoon and tofu. Though a bit pity that the chilly source taste might be covering the tasty food such as the beehoon and the tofu. continue reading

Bought this for lunch. First time trying this, I found it not bad. The meat actually looks lke worms to me but rest assured it isn't. Its just stir fried pork that has been diced till its fine and string-like. It came with some onions and fried buns with sesame to good effect. The buns were hot and soft but oily. Couple that with the onions and pork which is a little salty and you get sinful combination thats hard to resist but I only can tasted the onion. Personally, it would be better if they can give more fried pork. Its somethng like Mee Sua but is in white color. The portion was quite small and not really enough for me. The broth is starchy and the taste is just right, not overly salty. The noodles were also springy and soft which makes this dish well worth. It is good to add some of their homemade chilli. continue reading
