I simply love the food at Pu Tien, especially the lor mee. I got addicted after my sis introduced me to the outlet at Food Republic, Vivocity. It is totally different from the lor mee sold outside and deinitely more delicious. It is also price-friendly, given the type of ingredients found in it like prawns and cockles.

My bf and I shared a set meal for two which included a main with a couple of sides and complimentary desserts. For the main course, lor mee won hands down. We chose lar lar and homemade beancurds plus bamboo shoot prawns.

The gravy accompanying the prawns tasted heavenly. It was rich in herbs and very aromatic. I left no drop left in the bamboo shoot. Needless to say, the prawns were fresh and juicy. The plate of lar lar was spicy but that was what made it shiok. And the beancurds were very smooth. Total awesome.

My favourite lor mee came after i managed to save some space for it. The gravy was white and they used white mee instead of the usual dark gravy and yellow mee. They were also generous with the cockles and prawns.

The set meal for two is definitely worth it if one is feeling really hungry and have the craving for some traditional Chinese food!
