If you happen to want to go for a simple diet and would not want to eat more and a healthier version dinner, Qi Ji popiahs may be one of a good choice for you. The popiah skin is thin and not too moist, good to cover the generous amount of yummy ingredients that are store in it. Inside is filled with lots of nicely cooked white carrot, with dried prawn, diced chinese sausages, shredded egg, diced crunchy peanut, beansprouts, spring onions and chopped parsley. This popiah is so compact and filled with lots of ingredients that really make your meal a very satisfying and yet not that sinful. continue reading

Ordered the Nasi Lemak at Qi Ji last weekend. It was surprisingly empty during a Sunday lunch time. I was quite taken aback. The food is really not bad. Their nasi lemak is in quite a big portion with alot of ingredients. However, I thought the rice could be abit more flavourful with the aroma of the pandan leaf. Not bad though! continue reading

Best thing that ever happened to me when i'm stuck at these area with little money to spend...This place has good food for an affordable price! They have a standardisation for the presentation of food, queue and ordering... a little different no doubt from the other 'normal' way of running the place...U've gotta soooooo love their chicken wings...One of the good ones~There are various ways to have ur nasi lemak and the quality and quantity is just nice Must try for sure when u're craving for good and cheap nasi lemak ;) continue reading

Qi Ji is one good place to have good local foods like nasir lemak, poppia, mee siam and good hong kong milk tea.The Nasir Lemak are made from pandan thus the rice are green in colour and very flagrant. They have several different types of set ranging from $3.90.They have one of the best chicken wings as it's very crunchy and their home make chilli so nice that if you feel their one scoope is not enough, there's no free extra scoope but rather you can pay extra 30 cents for the extra chilli sauce. The poppia is very nice because of the sauce coatings the skin with garlic and they coat the whole poppia skin as compare to other shops.Poppia at $2 per roll.Mee Siam here is a must try as it has very traditional taste like those we bought from road side peddles in the 1970s.Milk tea taste like those we find in Hong Kong where in Singapore, most shops who sells the same taste call their menu Hong Kong Milk Tea. continue reading

I saw people eating laksa in the stall, and decided to give it a try. I have tried some of their other dishes, and they were all pretty yummy. The laksa lived up to its reputation too. The gravy has a strong coconut taste and is very spicy with the chili, Although spicy, I could not help but to finish up the sinful gravy. They gave me only 2 pieces of tau pok, which I was looking forward to more. The fishcake was more, but still could not replace the tau pok. Other ingredients include bean sprouts, egg and cockles. The cockles were disappointingly not very fresh. continue reading
