Have my lunch with a friend in this Noodle house at Bugis. It is quite small inside but still consider quite comfortable and cooling. Had their signature qq noodles which their hand made noodles are very chewy and tasty. THe char siew meat is quite dry and not that flavourful. THe deep fried wanton was very crispy but you almost can't feel any minced meat in it as the filling was too little. Service was fast but not really that friendly. Spent near to $20 for this meal.

Passed by this restaurant and decided to give it a try. Had the QQ fried noodles, the noodles really had the springy feeling and tasted very nice. The mixture of fried egg into the fried noodles gave the dish a very nice smell, and both tasted very well together. The meat was soft and tender, and the sotong tastes good with the dish too. My friend had the QQ noodles, which came with charsiew and dumpling. Although it looks plain, it actually tastes very yummy with some sesame oil taste. The char

Went back to the QQ noodle house as i really liked their signature noodle and wanted to try something else. The fried vermicelli is done pretty well. The portion is sufficient but lacks more stuff inside. Will be good to have some seafood in itThis is simply awesome. can smell the fragrance from far, and it's done pretty well. They use the same QQ noodle which taste even better when stir-fried. The sauce is good as well. Add some chilli and it's good to go

Signature QQ noodle. Found this stall at the heart of Bugis Street, along the road. Vaguely recall their advert and decided to give it a try. Ordered the signature QQ noodle with dark and chilli sauce. The noodle was true to its name - 'QQ' and spongy. Unique and tastes slightly different from normal noodles. But the sauce could've had a heavier taste to it and will be much nicer if it's more spicy.

Decided to have QQ noodles while roaming around at bugis added additional noodles on top of the normal portion, the noodles is fantastic! the texture and "springiness" was just right to me. it comes along with dumplings, cha siews, vegetables and soup. the fillings in the dumpling was generous and was good. Personally I did not add chilli to it,I had the original flavour and it was really good. the waiting time from point of ordering to serve took about 10mins (off-peak).

I am frequent visitor of QQ noodles house and i had tried a lot of their noodles before. Before I mention about their food, I will elaborate further on the environment, it was not very clean especially during peak hours, most of the plates were left on the table uncleared. The waitress will only clear it when the customers had settled down. This had happened to me most of the time when I visited them.

Besides, the waiting time was long, because there were a lot of customers too.

My favourite is their Zhao Pai QQ Noodles but I ordered a different dish today - the Seafood Noodles! The noodles was very springy and I really like the texture of it. The seafood was fresh, therefore the prawns didn't stick with the shelf. I love to eat fresh seafood as it is easier to remove from shelf and it is also sweeter.

I think the soup based was cooked for long as there was a sweet taste of vegetable and a mixture of ingredients in it, which is nice. I will recommend you guys to try this out other than the normal Zhao Pai QQ noodles.

Wu Xiang or more commonly known as Ngo Hiang originated from Teochew, Hokkien cuisines. Consisting of minced pork, prawn shaped in a sausage-esque roll and seasoned with five-spice powder, it is rolled inside a beancurd skin and deep fried to the state in the appended photograph. It is usually served with a sweet sauce (think of thai sweet-chili) and/or chili sauce.

(+) Very crispy on the surface due to the thin layer of beancurd skin, fried to golden brown.
(+) Minced meat was very soft but not mashy and complemented the crispy skin very well.
(+) Amount of minced meat was very generous and snugly packed within the beancurd skin.
(+) Particularly enjoyed the crunchiness from the bits of water chestnut in the minced meat.
(+) Valued for money for the quality and portion size.

(+) Noodles were very bouncy and definitely lived up to its 'QQ' name.
(+) Perfectly cooked to al dente, which contributed to the 'QQ-ness' of noodles.

(-) Pale looking dish presented in an unappetizing manner.
(-) Only 1 fishball, 1 meatball, few slices of char siew, 2 wantons with minimal minced meat.
(-) Though soft in texture, fishball was the yielding, inelastic sort and not-bouncy.
(-) Meatball tasted like those frozen ones bought from supermarkets.
(-) Char Siew was very dry, tasteless and did not seem like it was roasted.
(-) The wantons had almost no fillings and were mere dumpling skin.
(-) The soup was MSG loaded, and the noodles seemed MSG infused too.
(-) Dry aftertaste when we left and was very thirsty for water.

(-) Noodles were slightly hard.
(-) Taste-wise, similar to your local Char Kway Teow, without the flat noodles.
(-) Very mediocre despite being a featured dish.

It was not a terrible plate of noodles but it was not good either.

Prices reflected on the menu were nett and there was no GST nor service charge being levied on the bill which was a plus.

Service: When we were outside the restaurant browsing the menu, a very passionate waitress came out and attended to us and tried to recommend their signature dishes to us. It was definitely good customer service. When we wanted a table with cushion seats and backrest (but it had not been cleaned up yet), she cleaned it promptly and kept apologizing.

Ordering of food had to be done via filling in a simple form indicating the item no. and quantity and tendered to the cashier on your own. When ready, food would be served to your table.

The chili and soy sauce counter was located in the middle of the restaurant and diners are expected to scoop your own. This was acceptable as no service charge was levied. A minus though when I wanted some green chilis and container was empty. One of the waitress took the tub away and merely commented to me, 'No more already...' Well I was really expecting her to bring out some fresh chilis, but I could live with that.

The Bugis district is generally popular with teenagers and crowded with shoppers and commuters alike. If you are looking for a resting corner amidst the busy area, then this simply decorated noodle house might be a good option. Some hits and misses with the dishes like any restaurant, but the abundance in MSG might keep me away for some time yet.

The QQ noodles were nice, springy and well cooked. The sauces blended well with the noodles. In terms of ingredients, they have char siew (nice), minced pork, dumpling (ok but pathetically so small), one pork ball and one fish ball (the pork ball was ok but the fish ball was bland and soft and not chewy). For me it is not enough for such small portion, I have to ask for the bigger bowl with additional charge.

I do like this place, just opposite Bugis Junction. But $6(Add More noodles) for a bowl of noodles here is kind of pricey eh?The noodles taste not bad and its springy but it’s kind of salty, like there was MSG in it. Most probably a good bowl of bak chor mee at a decent stall could beat this in value and taste.Other than that I did enjoy the food here. I give the ambience a plus and maybe the Hor Fan was not bad But other than that, a meal at a decent tze char or bak chor mee stall is more worth

Ambience wise... well when I was there a few times, it wasn't a popular place. I tick what I wanted on the paper, go to the counter, pay and wait for my food. I like eating in a quiet establishment.
