Overall i was very satisfied with the ramen by Bario.

There are a few ramen stalls there. I ordered this from one of the most prominent stalls. It tasted very good. A good portion of ramne served with japanese char siew and the special egg in savory stock. The ramen was cooked prefectly to leave a springy texture. The egg was done well to maintain the orangy egg yolk and its flowing texture. This is a perfect bowl of ramen to me.

there are many ramen stall at ramen champion, about 6-7 stalls. each stall have their own style and they are originated from different parts of Japan. though it may not so genuine as compared to Japan one, the ramen is really something to talk about, i will say that they could be the best ramen in Singapore. So i still love the chashu ramen as it is the most original ramen i supposed. the soup broth is nice and not too salty, as i cant stand too salty and greasy soup base. So i still love the chashu ramen as it is the most original ramen i supposed. the soup broth is nice and not too salty, as i cant stand too salty and greasy soup base. I love the egg a lot, it is soft and the yolk is half cooked. the ramen is nice, chewy and spongy and just nicely cooked. Lastly the chashu is tender and flavourful, it is important as i dont like dry and hard meat.

We tried two types. One from Bario, the other is the black shoyu ramen from Menya.

Bario: only try this if you like thick noodles. The noodles is not the typical ramen noodles, it is thick wavy egg noodles, served with a very very generous portion of bean sprouts. it is apparantly most popular among guys in Japan. (Incidentally, I have just returned from Tokyo and the ramen bars there are indeed usually only filled with men). The broth is also very thick and flavorful, albeit a little on the salty side.

Black Shoyu ramen: thinner noodles, in a black shoyu broth. Love the onsen egg which usually hits the spot for me. The char siew is also well done. But I still prefer the thicker pork bone broth. Again, a tad too salty for our palate.

Tetsu: We ordered gyoza from Tetsu (which is famous for their tsukumen aka dry ramen). Please do not order theor gyoza. Only if you like thick thick skin. Their menu claims their gyoza is juicy. Yes, they do have some broth in the gyoza (a little cross over from xiao-long-bao), but the skin is so so thick that it is definitely one of the worst gyoza I've tasted.

There is a wide variety of ramen choices in Iluma on the highest floor. I went to Ramen Champion and ordered their signature ramen dish. The ramen with miso soup based with egg and pork. The soup was smelt fragrant and tasted great with the ramen. I like the egg especially with the egg yolk oozing out. It costs $18 for the meal.

went down to try the ramen since i love to eat ramen. there were different ramen stores to choose from but my friend recommended the hokkaido ramen so i tried the corn ramen. the ramen looked quite nice and tasty and had quite a generous portion. the ramen was ok, quite chewy but the soup was not as nice as i expected it to be. the cha siew was also not that nice, quite fatty. but on the whole, i think the ramen still tasted not too bad

With a wide variety of ramen to choose from, Ramen Champion is the place to get your ramen cravings satisfied! From ramen with thick soup base to dipping ramen to ramen in soy sauce soup, it can easily satisfy different preferences, not to say the different types of ramen used in each stall.

The concept of Ramen Champion is like that of Marche's whereby you get a card at the entrance, order your food at different stalls with the card, and pay at the exit.

Out of all the stalls, I love Bario the best! "Bario" means a strong guy in Japenese and indeed, the bowl of ramen brought out the meaning with the thick and strong soup. The ramen is also thicker than the other stalls and it comes with 2 pieces of fat pork belly. To neutralize the thick soup and noodles, it is topped with a generous serving of beansprouts, which added sweetness to the salty soup.

However, just take note not to overeat the ramen! Although you will feel like trying the ramen from every stall, eating too much will not be good!

Enjoy!

We visited Ramen Champion for the 1st time and saw that there were 6-7 stalls selling Similar food inside 1 place. So were game to try it out so we ordered for some dry chicken & beef ramen. Both were very tasty. Loved the noodles, the amount of spice & the meat in it. Seems like a nice place to have Ramen noodles.

Bario ramen is one of the best ramen i ever had! The noodles are much thicker than the normal ramen, something like the chinese ban-mian and blend well into the flavourful soup. I also love the crunchy bean sprouts, well marinated pork slices and chopped garlic that makes the soup even better. You can choose between half bowl or full bowl. The ramen doesnt come with hard-boiled egg but you can add an egg at a dollar.
