I turned into quite a alcohol connoisseur recently and so my drinking buddy introduced me to a bar cum restaurant named RedDot Brewhouse. When I first stepped in, the first thing that caught my eye was a green-colored liquid that some of the patrons are drinking.I later came to know it as the Monster Green Lager Beer.I expected it to taste somewhat different (maybe i was thinking of Fanta drinks ) but no it didn't. Tasted quite normal but still it was an adventure drinking this funny green liquid. The bar wasn't very packed when I went there around 8.30pm. I quite like the toilets, because it was somewhat modeled to make you feel like you are one with nature. (Go and you will know what I mean) It's quite a contrast to the restaurant's interior. Regardless, it was a nice spot to chill with friends with its high top tables and chairs. If you are feeling adventurous, head on down to RedDot and order yourself a pint of Monster Green! They have other beers as well. continue reading

Went dinner with 4 friends on a Friday night and enjoying their company together with food and drinks.Ordered their beer, Weizen and Monster Green Lager Beer and found that it actually tastes just like any other beers that I have come across even when they describe it as having a taste of fruity and spicy.Their Spicy Zing Wing & Drumlets are nice, crispy plus a little spicy but there is no 'wow' factor. However it is properly cooked and the meat is fresh and soft with a little bit of fats within.Their Potato Wedges is the only finger food that we ordered twice but the taste is great. Soft and crispy. Yet again, no 'wow' factor. But I do recommend ordering this to complement with their beer. The mushroom soup is one that I strongly not recommending because there is a layer of oil on top which worsen the overall taste. It makes you feel nausea. If you are health-conscious, please do not order the Fish & Chips because every bite is oil and beer purging out. They use beer batter, their own recipe. You might probably like their chips which is sprinkled with paparika. The sausage platter looks attractive when served up. A mixture of their very own RedDot Beer sausage, spicy Italian and chicken cheese sausage. The serving was big enough to share among 5 persons and also good for going along with beer. A little costly at $32 but worth the try.Lastly is their thin-crusted BBQ Chicken Pizza. Topped with bbq chicken, mushroom, onions and bell pepper, somehow it doesn't taste fantastic and instead, bland. Compared with other pizza restaurants, it fails to allure you even with the aroma and the attractive appearance. Their service is not very good, maybe because shortage of staff and crowds is overwhelming on a Friday night. I probably would not come again on Fridays or weekends but some other days with lesser crowd. continue reading

After work, we headed to Red Dot Brew House conveniently located the street across our office. We ordered some drinks and food to share. Of all, my favorite is the potato wedges in basket which costs around $9. The wedges are really delicious as they are crispy on the outside and moist inside. continue reading

Had a team lunch for the farewell of some colleagues and new joiners. We decided not to venture too far from our office at UOB building so we chose boat quay. One of my colleagues suggested Red Dot and since none of us have tried before, we decided to give it a try.For main dish, I order sausage. I thought it would be something like Brewerkz...just sausages and some pickles. But it came with bread. The sausage were cut up and placed on top of the bread. I didn't like the taste at all. The fries wasn't too fantastic either. For dessert, I had the strawberry panacotta. I love it. The taste wasn't too sweet and it just slides down my throat. Easy on my mouth.I was told that the other must try is the brownie. So I tax some off my friend's place. I find it a little too sweet for my tongue. Would be suitable to those who love really sweet stuffs.Service was quite fast. Maybe because we beat the lunch hour and turn up earlier than 12pm. continue reading

We headed to Red Dot Brewery at Boat Quay for drinks in the evening and ordered a basket of chicken wings to go along with the drinks. Each serving of basket costs around $10 which comes with their signature chilli sauce. The chicken wings tasted alright as it was a little oily. Nice ambience and place to chill out with friends. continue reading
