Brought my friend to this place as we were in the vicinity; it was quite crowded during dinner hours. They offer very affordable dishes and you can choose from a variety of combination - like fried rice with sambal squid, rice with egg, veg and prawn roll, rice with chicken and kangkong, etc etc, all priced between $3.90 - $6.90. My friend had the combination of egg, kangkong and their famous prawn roll at $6.90 - would have to recommend their prawn roll (ala carte at $6). I got the rice with garlic chicken and egg - preferred the fish but the chicken in this sauce was alright as well. We also had some garlic pork at $8; do avoid this as it is absolutely horrible, the black sauce overpowers the whole dish and it's basically diced pork (we thought it was pork chop and fried before we ordered). Do get the cucumber with apple juice, freshly made. continue reading

My mum brought me to this takeaway stall and according to her, it's quite famous.I don't really know what this is called. It is made of meat, chestnut fried together. A little like fried ngoh hiang. It taste ok, not too bad. But not for me as it's a little too meaty.Garlic fish. This is ok to go with rice. Not spectacular, but passable.Fried kangkong. Normal fried chilli kangkong, which was a little too oily for my liking. continue reading
