Brought my friend to this place as we were in the vicinity; it was quite crowded during dinner hours. They offer very affordable dishes and you can choose from a variety of combination - like fried rice with sambal squid, rice with egg, veg and prawn roll, rice with chicken and kangkong, etc etc, all priced between $3.90 - $6.90. My friend had the combination of egg, kangkong and their famous prawn roll at $6.90 - would have to recommend their prawn roll (ala carte at $6). I got the rice with ga

I got the rice with garlic chicken and egg - preferred the fish but the chicken in this sauce was alright as well. We also had some garlic pork at $8; do avoid this as it is absolutely horrible, the black sauce overpowers the whole dish and it's basically diced pork (we thought it was pork chop and fried before we ordered). Do get the cucumber with apple juice, freshly made.

My mum brought me to this takeaway stall and according to her, it's quite famous.I don't really know what this is called. It is made of meat, chestnut fried together. A little like fried ngoh hiang. It taste ok, not too bad. But not for me as it's a little too meaty.Garlic fish. This is ok to go with rice. Not spectacular, but passable.Fried kangkong. Normal fried chilli kangkong, which was a little too oily for my liking.

This is a good place to have a meal or simply order fuss-free takeaway, as they offer a wide variety of dishes. I bought the "gong bao" spice like fish as takeaway - it's called Garlic Dry Fish on their menu, which costs $12; this is one of the more unique fish dishes I have come across, the sauce fragrant with a hint of garlic taste, and goes well with rice. I also got the rice with egg and veg for around $3+.

Wanted some fuss-free lunch on my way home so decided to stop by Restaurant 121 and order some takeaway. I have tried many dishes from here and so far have loved most of it. I decided to get the set meal again, which has 3 different dishes for $6.90. The kangkong is good, not too spicy and there is a slightly sweet taste to it, egg was like any normal egg, and the highlight was the fried prawn paste roll, which was crispy with bits of water chestnut inside; was even crispy after I got home.

The photos absolutely don't do justice to how tasty the food it. Chanced upon it in Hougang and decided to give the Malaysian food (it's really chinese food) restaurant a try. On my previous visits, I have tried their 2 person set meal comprising chicken, prawn roll and kangkong ($18), and their "gong-bao" spice like fried fish. Their fried prawn roll is one of their signature dish (minced prawn & fish meat(?) with crunchy water chestnuts), and is indeed a must-try, along with the tasty fried fish (called garlic fish). They also have healthy drinks like apple with cucumber ($2.50) - natural ingredients blended and honey added - a healthier alternative to sugar.

Will take proper photos of their tasty dishes after my next visit.
