love the apple straddle here at Ritz apple straddle as the straddle crusts are crispy and freshly made. the apple fillings are all evenly coated with a layer of cream which is sweet and this balances the acidity of the apples. The cream in between the straddle is really delicious and is not too sweet making it perfect. be sure to eat the straddle fresh as when left for a few hours, the straddle would become soggy. continue reading

Ritz Apple Strudel has been in Singapore since 2000. Some people bought lots of Ritz strudel to share and MrUpUpUp would not resist food temptation (haha!). The Ritz strudel was very nice! Mr UpUpUp tried the mango, berry and apple flavours of the strudel. This strudel dessert snack has a nice sweet cripsy taste and one cannot stop at one helping of the snack. One bite and it's just foodie heaven! Just love the original apple strudel. Who can resist such crispy apple dessert snack? Attached photo of the strudel snack. continue reading

This strudel is a very fluffy longish pastry with lots of layers in it that make it so crispy and light. generous amount of sliced strawberries and fresh vanilla cream are used as the fillings which you will feel refreshing during mouthful of it. It is not too sweet and ideal for all kind of occasions and family gatherings as well. It comes in a mini transparent box which is quite cute and will be well like by the youngsters as well. continue reading

A friend offered to buy desserts for a gathering and suggested apple strudel, thought it was a good idea as I have not eaten one for ages. But she was kind and also got the cream puffs with both the vanilla and chocolate cream and the eclairs too. I enjoyed all of them but the eclairs most. They were all in finger food size which thankfully so that we could tried everything that were served. The kids loved the puffs and they shoved everything down within minutes! Nice to be eaten cold. continue reading

There was going to be a little pot-luck dinner at a friend's house at night and I was supposed to bring along some desserts. I thought it might be a good idea to bring some apple strudels. I drove to the Ritz Apple Strudel at Royal Ville, near Sixth Avenue. I drove into the carpark and parked right in front of the shop. When I pushed open the door into the shop, I couldn't help but frowned. Such pungent smell, must be durian. A fruit that you either love or hate and I happen to fall into the latter category. Better make it fast. The shop has many types of strudels other than the apple strudel; they have favours like mango, strawberry, peach and of couse the culprit of the pungent smell, durian. They have tiny cream puffs, vanilla or chocolate, Eclair and many others. I quickly asked for a full-size apple strudel, $21.90 each. The price had increased, it was stated $19.80 on their website. I picked four boxes of cream puffs, $3.00 per box of 10 and two boxes of Eclair, $3.00 per box of 6.After making my purchase, I exited the carpark and was shocked to be charged $1.71 for 7 minutes of parking. There was no grace period at all. Should have parked along the road instead. Nevertheless, the little unpleasant encounter didn't affect the taste of the strudel. Its pastry was crispy, the apple a little sourest and the cream sweet. The combination was delicious. I had much trouble trying to eat it with a fork because the pastry was so crispy that whenever I tried to cut it, it just flew out of the plate. I hope my friend was not upset with me littering her floor with crumbs. The cream puffs and Eclair were nice too, especially when they're cold. The children loved them very much. continue reading
