Signature Dishes
I walked past this bakery shop and was attracted by the colourful meringue displayed. This whole packet cost $5.90 which I think is a bit steep if compared to the one selling at candy empire but tasted less powdery and more crispy. They are also smaller that I could just pop one into my mouth without biting. My son loves meringue and he would put a few into his milk to add some flavour and sweetness to it.

i was shopping around suntec city shopping mall with my mum when we passed by rive gauche. I remembered my sister saying that their cakes are really good so I decided to buy back a slice for us to share. After selecting for a while, I settled for their guanaja cake. My mother was not really a fan of cakes and she was put off by the price but I still went ahead and got us the cake. I have to admit my mum was right, a slice did cost quite a lot but it was NICE! The cake was super moist, it was very chocolaty as well. I love the base, it was very crunchy, I think they use some biscuit to make it. It tasted like those of a waffle biscuit. The chocolate they spread on top of the cake was very thick and sweet. It was two thumbs up, I guess it was worth the price. mum took a bite and she was converted to a fan of this cake too.

I recently patronised this store, and it was very filling for breakfast. The assortment was really varied as well, which I liked, it had egg mayo w lettuce, tune w lettuce, some kind of pink floss with lettuce, ham n cheese. I especially liked the egg mayo one, it was just really fresh, not gooey, and was very yummy. As for the floss one, it was the first time I ate such a sandwich, and it has a sweet taste to it, so it actually makes up for the other savoury ones in the assortment. The rest were alright, tasted okay Also, I went for the wholemeal bread option, as it's healthier, although it costs $0.50 more than the regular white bread. Would patronise this stall again to try out their small pastries, as they offer 1 free pastry if you get 5 mini pastries.

This is my favourite cake at this place. There are generous with the logans and the almond taste is not sickening. However, it's pretty steep as it's really a very small cake fit for maybe 1-2 persons and it costs $32! If you buy it off the shelf, instead of ordering it, it might have been sitting there for a few days. I noticed that not many buy cakes from this place due to the expensive prices. And the cakes sometimes sit there for days as I walk past them every other day! But all their cakes are very well presented and people always stop to look even if they do not buy. Recommended!

My friends bought this cake for the birthday girl from Rive Gauche Patisserie recently. This is my first time trying out their cake. I was told by a few friends that their cakes is very nice. But i don't really know how to appreciate this cake with 'long-gan' topping, i felt that this cake is so-so only. But the birthday girl like it very much! it is a very unique cake indeed. Maybe will try out their chocolate cake next time, a more 'traditional flavour' instead. Then i can tell whether their cake is nice.
