Rive Gauche Patisserie (Closed)

Nice chocolate cake,with a layer of crispy crust at the bottom. The cake is not too sweet. We bought it for our Mum's bday. Price is on the high side though. But for a better quality cake that brings smile on everyone's face, it is really worth it. 

Crunchy Cheese Crumbs ($5.80)This pretty little cake-in-a-cup was a birthday surprise from a colleague. Topped with a generous portion of cookie crumbles over a light cheesecake base, each bite into this petite treat was sheer indulgence. The cookies crumbles were buttery and crunchy while the cheesecake was smooth and velvety. Yummy!!!

My family loves to order cakes from this Japanese cake shop as their cakes are really good! We have our own personal favourites but we decided to try a different flavour this time and we got the Mango Cheesecake for my dad's birthday! As always, the cake was so good! There were real mango fillings in between the layers of cheesecake, so smooth and addictive! One slice is never enough

Everyone loves to eat cake, but what makes a good piece of cake? For me, I feel texture is important. It needs to be soft (but not too soft), sweet (but not sweet). I feel that Rive Gauche Patisserie has managed to get both these right. Their cake melts in your mouth and is just the right size for you to pop in your mouth without seeming too greedy. I must warn you, one piece may not be enough!

To celebrate my mother's birthday, I decided to get her a cake from rive gauche as I love their tasty cakes there. as my mother is not a big fan of chocolate, I decided to get her something light and this caught my eye - Fruits Charlotte. I ordered this for my friend birthday. This is my second time ordering this mango, the first time I don't really like it, but I was thinking maybe they change so tried again. Mango Mousse Sponge Cake Base was very light and not super sweet, but once I cut out in slices, is like a bit soggy, which I don't like& also the mango on top was very sour, was quite disappointed, still prefer their chocolate cake more.Service is ok, price average.

I got myself a slice of Strawberry Shortcake for $6. The price was quite expensive for a small piece of cake. The cake was soft and fluffy. Great texture and the cream was not too bad too. It was a little bland to my liking. I thought it was suppose to be sweeter so as to compliment with the strawberries as it were rather sourish. Presentation wise was great which attracted me into purchasing. Service was impeccable! Nice counter staff.

My friends bought me a slice of cake from rive gauche. As I have read reviews about this place before and realised that most people feel that one of the more popular cakes would be the guanaja. So i gave it a try and yes it was really delicious! The cake has biscuits in it and the chocolate was so rich. It was so sinful but yet hard to resist. But of course it doesn't come by cheap, the small slice of cake alone costs $6.50 !!! Hope that i am able to try the rest of the cakes next time.

A group of us went to rive gauche to buy a birthday cake for one of my friend. We intended to go to her house to surprise her. After looking and discussing, we finally settled for the guanaja. Rive Gauche always has such nice cakes that make you cant bear to eat it. Bought a mango cake from Rive Gauche to celebrate my mum’s birthday recently. It was really good! The mango was smooth and sweet. The decorations of the cake was also very pretty! It however is a little bit more pricey, but it is definitely worth it!
