Both me and my girlfriend decided to go City Hall for some windows shopping and dinner straight after work on Thursday (18 April 2013). Past by this new restaurant, I seldom come around here, so this is new for me. Something that caught my attention was the FRIES! I just ordered a small size of the fries for take away. There have many different dips to choose from, it was hard for me to decide. haha! I choose the Inferno Cheese Dip + additional $1 for the mayonnaise. The fries tasted not bad. Paste on the cheese dip is really flavorful and delicious, will come back again to try others dish.

Went to rock & ash once and I brought my friends there because of the rather affordable set meal (less than $10 each after 20% discount), although it might have been a wrong choice because they ran out of olive rice and we were heavily spammed with fries instead So make sure to be there earlier because they ran out of sides pretty fast, except for the fries. One of my friends suggested dining here for dinner as there is a set promo which includes a main together with drink, soup and fries. Fries fries fries! Who doesn't love fries? Liked the fries from Rock and Ash - their fries were thick and the potato taste is really genuine (unlike some fast food fries where you can't even taste the potato taste...) In addition, what I liked is the wide variety of flavours to choose from - they have Garlic Mayo, Inferno Cheese, Chocolate, Wasabi Mayo, Black Pepper etc etc., to satisfy any of your cravings! Highly recommend the Inferno Cheese and Texas BBQ sauces!

What make Rock & Ash Cafe unique is its specially made to order crispy fries and wide selection of sweet, savoury and spicy homemade dips. The cripsy fries come in 3 sizes at the price of $3.90, $4.90 and $5.90.I had the Crispy Fries with Power Garlic Mayo dip. The garlic taste from the dip was strong but not over powering. The beef patty of the california burger taste normal, nothing special that stands out from the other burger patty. The fries were of course better than the MacDonalds fries, but the cheese was normal, and turns out that the sauce was so limited it comes in a small serving of a cup rather than they slather it all over the fries as pictured. It's just OK, nothing too fancy and thought their fries were going to be real good.

This is a great place to grab a quick fries snack. The fries here are freshly fried out and served to us pipping hot and not al all soggy. I like how they make their fries and dips fresh every day. They have a wide range of homemade dips for you to choose from. I would not recommend the lemon curd dip though. It tasted like diluted Ma Ma Lemon to us, it had a rather artificial lemon taste to it, but I guess it's an acquired taste. You can't really go wrong with the popular mayo flavours.

The fries came with numerous mixes of homemade dips such as wasabi mayo, black pepper, mayo, chocolate as well as lemon curd. The fries are fresh everyday as it is a made-to-order fries.I personally like the ideas of having different choice of dips for the fries. However, the fries are too salty for me.

Came across this shop while walking along the cityhall link way. Was attracted by the poster outside its shop and the price was pretty affordable. Ordered cheese fries. Suprisingly, it comes in a container. The fries were thick and stuffed however, i didn't like the cheese at all. It was kinda tasteless as compared to KFC ones etc. This should be the worst cheese fries ever! The service and staffs were pretty nice and friendly though!
