Signature Dishes
I was told this couple that manned this stall used to own a bakery many years ago in Ang Mo Kio where i grown up. It is good to find them again. I decided to get a curry puff for $1.20. The size seemed smaller. The crust was a bit too thick. The filling consists of aromatic curry potato filling with chunks of chicken meat and a small slice of hard boiled egg. It did not taste too spicy to me. It was a tasty snack and i enjoyed it. I would be keen to try their other flavors soon.

The name 'Rolina' was a part of my growing up memories. The couple used to own a Bakery in Ang Mo Kio more than a decade ago. I remember my dearest Grandpa brought me there for countless times before they closed it down for good. It was a good feeling to meet this couple again right at this food centre selling the handmade hainanese style puffs. I was eager to have a little chat with them but they were too busy making the puffs right behind. I ordered a Curry Potato Puff for $1.20. The first impression was the size of this curry puff is a little smaller as compared to other puffs out there in the same price range. The crust was rather thin. The level of spiciness was a little spicier but i enjoyed it pretty much. The puff might be smaller in size but it was filled with a good amount of potatoes and chicken pieces as well as a slice of boiled egg. All the puffs are handmade daily to ensure its freshness. An ideal snack for afternoon break to go with tea or coffee.
